I help my sister manage her finances (she is capable just doesn’t care lol).

She tells all of her friends that “I steal her money” and we are maxing out her Roth IRA. She just told me she is ready to invest more because she doesn’t even notice the money leaving her account and once it’s gone she won’t spend it.

I’m so proud of her! She is fiscally responsible and won’t spend more than she has/makes but she doesn’t care for optimizing and saving every dollar. So this system is perfect!

That’s basically my system! Lol. Pay myself first/automate savings/investing so if I don’t ever “have” the money I don’t notice it’s not there

TV 1: I had wanted to stop at the library on the way home from PT and was annoyed with myself for forgetting the library bag, but when I passed it the sign said it was closed so I wouldn’t have been able to pick up my holds anyway!

TV 2: dinner was not prepared so I ordered sushi like I should have on Friday and it’s delicious.

Today I tried cleaning the inside of the car’s windshield using a squeegie for the first time. I’m not certain how it turned out (since I haven’t driven since the cleaning), but I’m glad for trying something new, nonetheless. If it turns out that it cleaned as well as I hope, this will be my new go-to method for cleaning the front windshield going forward.

You are an inspiration.

(Looks at how much she still needs to follow in your footsteps, looks at planned Christmas decorations) I’m not there yet.

Finally, both conditions were met: remembered to enroll for school and did enroll for school. Had been remembering to do it at awkward times (like while driving or in a work meeting) for the last week. It’s done, yay!

Didn’t remember until too late that I wanted to buy a snorkeling mask for a trip I’m leaving for Thursday night. Gambled by ordering one online that had an expected delivery of Thursday-Friday and it was just delivered on Wednesday afternoon :muscle:

For the last couple years I haven’t had any good clementines but I’ve had several from a new bag this week and they are perfect.

I had so many reward points for a particular tea company that I was able to get a $78 order of tea for completely free :joy:

I made an expense claim for my jury service just before lunch. I was expecting to be given forms to fill in after we were dismissed yesterday but was told that since Covid it is all done on line.

After entering my citation number the website already knew exactly when I had attended (including the ‘standby’ day of phone calls). I was able to upload my parking receipts and my tax return to prove my self employed status so I could claim the rather pathetic daily rate.

I was expecting some push back about proof that the B&B had lost money due to my absence but they obviously didn’t care as I got an email at 4 o’clock to say the payment was approved and ready!

It was set up to use the Open Banking Standard which meant I just had to go through the transfer system to my own bank and select the account I wanted the money in. The money was paid in under a minute.

It’s a bit sad that I’m absolutely stunned by the efficiency of a government process that paid out in under 5 hours!!
