This might belong in the gratefulness thread, but it feels like a bit of a victory.
Today I only have p.m. appointments for work. I woke up at seven to give my dog her medicine and then went back to sleep and slept until 9:30. NINE THIRTY!
Holy heck.
Now I’m sitting outside in the yard about to take my laundry off the line and it is 77°, 50% humidity, sunny with a slight breeze.
My eyes don’t burn from exhaustion, my chest doesn’t feel tight, some of my sore muscles feel more rested, etc etc.
… I also feel guilty for sleeping that late- but that’s just part of my personality
I made waffles with lots of delicious protein on top.
Sold another area rug we no longer need. $40 in hand and more space!
Also, found storage containers that fit our closet well at Costco. Ended up being $28 for all of them we need, vs the $50-75 I was pricing out via amazon/Walmart/Home Depot/etc.
My friend and I took a stack of kids (hers, mine, another friend’s) to the pool for free swim time. The kids swam for an hour while we worked out. Everyone left happily fatigued. Now my kids are having a birthday party for the dog.
I have pickles. When I eat a pickle, I feel human and delicious and can drink water
I literally just bought a used area rug. Did I buy it from you in some sort of cosmic way…?
Did you buy it from a pregnant lady? I definitely bought it from a fit lady with short dark curly hair who was very nice!
Maybe you got it from back to the future JJ…
Oh gosh I’m a can’t type idiot. That’s who I SOLD it to. I bought it from a store.
Word. I knew what you meant.
Nah, I got it from some dude who was very sure I needed help carrying it even after multiple assurances.
Weird coincidence though!
Thanks to pickle magic I ate a full serving of beans and rice
I bought bigger kid’s best friend a jar of pickles for his 14th birthday. It cost $2 and he is thrilled with life. Today pickles win.
First day of school drop off was not a complete cluster. In fact, it went about as well as it could have.
The salvage grocery store has the glucosamine/MSM/Etc treats my pup uses. $12/case vs. what would be $48/case retail.
They’re close to expiration, but freezable.
My former co-workers are buying me lunch for my birthday. I haven’t seen them since last year’s birthday lunch.
Happy Birthday!
Happy birthday!
Tony Victor: It’s Smacky’s birthday!
My birthday was a month ago! But thank you.
