Husband is out of town. Busy Little Pup let me cook breakfast, enjoy my coffee, and get dressed, all with minimal chaos. Waking up before 6 probably helped with this but I’ll take it!
I survived a 16+ hour whirlwind trip to NYC and back with an almost 8 month old
I saw pyramids and precolumbian frescoes.
I took advantage of the one-day respite from summer heat to do some baking. Three loaves of zucchini bread and pizza! Now I can leave the oven off for another month or so.
I delegated stuff to other people today and am so far succeeding in keeping it delegated instead of working on it.
I successfully redirected a hyper pup rampage with an enrichment activity instead of getting grumpy at her (not usually my forte when tired and on day 2+ of solo dog care).
2 big meals! Big naps! Worked
I ate Real Food and am sitting in my garden, breathing in the scent of damp soil and listening to bird calls.
Yay real food!
I think I figured out and programmed my sprinkler system to water on the interval I want with split schedule watering. We shall see tomorrow.
I did all the things on my to-do list today.
Certain people on this forum are going to find out what it feels like when your fetus has hiccups. That thought makes me very happy.
I relaxed a little just reading this. Thanks for that
I made a power point for my meeting. It was ridiculously low-effort, but I did it. After meeting I’m going to take a long walk and chill so that I have the mental focus to make some object diagrams.
Fancy homemade quiche (homemade pate brisee + spinach + onions + gruyere + a good amount of cream in the custard) was well-received.
I love quiche.
I also love quiche. Especially when there’s pate brisee involved.
Me three. Quiche is a perfect food.
I successfully removed a small piece of metal from my foot. Note to self, wear shoes in the garage.
Have you had a TDAP shot in the last ten years? (Not sure if that’s only for rusty stuff or for all metal-in-body accidents)
