I have learned, after EIGHT YEARS that there is a timer function on my computer that is basically identical to the one on my phone, that has alarm, timer, and stopwatch functions, that overrides the audio (muffling the main audio and making itself the loudest sound) such that I can set timers for set units of time (say, 10 minutes), turn on Pandora, set audio to my wireless headset, and then go outside and weed for that time and then be alerted when it is over. I’ve found working in discrete chunks is super useful for me, and this changes EVERYTHING.
(WHYYYYYYY did it take me so long to find this? Or even think to look? GAHHHHHHHHH.)
Oh, and the alarm is a nicer sound than ANY on my phone.

Both my little boy and my dog didn’t smell too good. I convinced the boy to take a shower and take the dog with him. They both smell much better, I didn’t have to bathe my dog, and my boy is proud of himself.

Remembered to wear a dress with three quarter length sleeves to work, so there’s no risk of exposing my bruises from yesterday’s blood tests and being forced into awkward conversations I don’t want to have.

Today I finally sorted out a paperwork issue so that money will be withdrawn from my paychecks to my work-provided retirement account. I call it a tiny victory because it’s only $25 per paycheck right now. But at least I’m getting started!

In my former city, it is 86F right now, projected to hit 95F by the weekend. ie the time of year I begin to hate life. In my current city 30 mi away, it is 72F, due to hit 78F. SoCal may not be so bad!
