Such bullshit.
I slept in until almost 6am! This is a distinct improvement over the rest of the week. \o/
I got a latte and got to chat with interns. Interns/undergrads are adorable. (Wow I’m old.)
I finally got a shower and feel like a human again.
I finished a book of sudoku puzzles and got to start a new one. So satisfying.
I snacked on yogurt instead of chips from the vending machine. It is less crunchy but I think more satisfying…
I was only woken up by my baby once overnight. Husband was woken up by him many, many times, but baby did not cry or scream loud enough to wake me. I think I may have got a whole seven hours’ sleep.
I actually wore sunscreen today.
Your skin thanks you!
I have such good friends. I had a punched nerve in my arm and my massage therapist friend had me over and worked on me for two hours. Now my arm operates more or less normally, with only a little pain. It’s a miracle caused by friendship.
My kids and I all turned off our morning alarms.
No more school
No more books…
That is my favorite day of each year! Better than Christmas, birthdays, all of them. That wonderful feeling of freedom for the next two months, ahhhh…
Even though I was a bit groggy and outside was a bit too warm, I went for a nice long walk. Visited a little rose garden, saw some big trees, found some tiny ferns with exquisite patterns. It was a good choice.
My mom has been preparing the food for Kid-3’s farewell party, and was all excited about a pork roast she made with her new smoker. She was planning to make it into tacos, which were Kid-3’s request. When I reminded her that an unfamiliar food item for Kid-3 was a Very Bad Idea, she cheerfully said she would just make a whole second batch of tacos the way he knows them. I have an awesome mom.
I bought a bunch of things that had been taking up brain space as I procrastinated about them.
Ha, I just did that too!
I spent so much money Ponder actually left the study to check that the credit card purchases popping up on his phone were from me or a fraudster…
That’s amazing. I love that you have that. <3
The berries I picked on yesterday’s hike held up and were a nice post bike ride snack.
TNTDog is here with me. I’m not sure when the last time was that I saw him. It wasn’t this year.
