This is very very good. I want more of this sort of thing for you.
I just sold a bracelet that has been in my jewelry stash for at least 5 years, probably longer. SO glad to see that fucker go!
Baby and I spent a total of 1.5 hours outside today, and the weather was pretty amazing.
Oh it looks lovely!!
Somehow, miraculously, my child is sleeping through the front of our house being cut apart. It’s so loud I have a headache and it’s playing again through the baby monitor, and yet. She’s still sleeping. (why she cant sleep through my vacuuming though… a mystery for the ages).
There were things in the sink, and room in the dishwasher, but the things in the sink did not fit the space in the dishwasher. I looked through the dishwasher and found something that fit in the space, freeing up enough room for one of the things in the sink.
My company just announced a policy where they true-up 401k matching at the end of the year, and eliminate the 1 year vesting period after you’re hired before you start getting a match.
It doesn’t affect me, but I’m glad they’re being even more generous with that benefit and helping encourage people to save.
My company is focusing on advocating inclusive language around people AND products AND industry terminology. Yes yes yes!
My boss confirmed in our 1-on-1 that we will never have to go back to the office! Apparently we still need to live within “driving distance” of an office but…like as long as I don’t have to actually go that’s fine.
Got a region wide announcement from regional CEO that working from home until July is appreciated. It came as a reminder. They have send amendments to my contract since Mar, 2020. Therefore I can claim my home office on my taxes. Including rent, utilities and the new printer, chair and desk.
Yesterday I woke up with a headache. I send an email “I am out sick” and stayed out of work the whole day.
I cleared the (enclosed) front porch enough to fit our small loveseat. I’m trying to minimize the amount of furniture in the living room in anticipation of painting. We hired a painter because I value my marriage being able to withstand painting the room with the prettiest woodwork (and not slopping paint on it) and successfully painting a very light color over a very dark color more so than the added cost of labor. There’s also the part of me not needing to paint, a victory in its own right. We’re been in this house around 15 years, and sometimes it feels like I have spent the last 15 years painting. All kinds of things (not just paint) that have been “done” have circled back around to needing done again. I do not like.
2nd tv: there are no early bingos, but I have finally arranged an electrician to try to troubleshoot a long-standing lack of electricity in part of our house. (Electricity that used to work). We’ve been getting by with extension cords with what is now going on years.
(Both of these projects are more challenging/nerve wracking because pandemic, but we are handling things in a way that minimizes risk to both parties. And yep, even with masking, I am airing out my house in winter. Maskholes need not apply.
Sold my old instapot for $15 less than I had paid 3 years ago. Now to use this momentum to photograph and list some other items. (Skinned muppet coat, your days are numbered!)
What an incredibly evocative, ominous, and simultaneously vague description
I went searching to try to understand what it is. This is what I came up with. Are any of these close to the aforementioned skinned muppet coat?
Repaired television is hung back on stand. Cat is less pleased since while it was on the floor leaning against the base of the stand he was able sleep behind it.
is it overdramatic to say spending $2 on a hexagonal shaped silicone ice cube mold has changed my life?
Only if you don’t explain why (aka is this something that will change my life too?!?)
I just like hexagons. Special ice also feels bougie as hell even though it’s frozen tap water so nearly free.
