Tiny Victories

Is there gonna be a birdhouse? Can I submit a request for one if not? It just feels right.

We don’t have those kind of skills. Which might be obvious.

Kid wants to make a movie called Nuns With Guns: Force of Habit
We are getting silly up in here.

There may already be a movie called “Nuns With Guns” (with Eric Idle and Hagrid?]. Sequels are always good though

WAIT - maybe it was “Nuns on the Run”.1

ETA: 1 - it was horrible and I couldn’t watch it.

Nice log. I also find that shirt very good, especially with the thick head of hair going on there. A+

I got $10 in Kohls Cash from a Christmas present I bought and it needs to be used by Sunday. I wouldn’t want to go inside a Kohls the week before Christmas in non-covid times, so I was trying to think of something that I could get that 1. I didn’t need to try on, 2. I actually wanted, and 3. that was under $10 or something I’d likely buy anyway. I figured I could always buy socks.

But then I remembered that Howie’s pillows are getting pretty squished and he is happy with the non-fancy Kohls pillows. They were marked down to $5 each, so I got him two new pillows for $0 out of pocket and selected curbside pickup. Also using a promotional credit without spending anything extra makes me feel a bit like a wizard.

I was just thinking last night about how happy I was with my pillow purchase from my Kohl’s cash. May it bring you much joy and good rest.

My friend loaned me her stand mixer. I’ve never used anything but a fork for mixing and I was shocked and amazed at how fast it made the cookie baking process.

I have found dark mode for the forum’s app.

Isn’t it wonderful? Whenever I go into the forum and I’m not logged in I’m like “ACK! MY EYES!”

My vitamin D level is GOOD. Like, actually GOOD. OPTIMAL. Considering my previous levels have been described as “abysmal”, “concerning”, and “the lowest I have ever seen in my own practice”, this is a huge development. And years in the making.

(In case anyone else is having a :face_with_symbols_over_mouth: of a time getting your levels adequate even with heavy supplementation and is curious, the turning point for me was starting vitamin K2 drops. Even a small amount and forgetting many days, it’s been a huge turn around for me)

This is very interesting for me because I have abyssal uptake, despite spending the majority of my early adult life literally outside for my job. When I finally was initially tested my D levels were so low that calcium was being leached from my bones - fun! (Also painful! Do not recommend.) I sometimes have trouble taking a high enough supplemented dose regularly. I’m going to look into this, thank you thank you thank you!!!

I don’t have an app, just the websites, but in your user settings I think there’s a dark mode option.

Ah, yes, I use that on all the devices. It’s why I’m often on here late at night.

Fingers crossed it’s the ticket for you as well. :crossed_fingers::crossed_fingers::crossed_fingers: I’m also a pretty high outside time person, so incredibly low vitamin D just feels vaguely like a personal insult for some reason :joy:

I realized 5 minutes before my appointment that it was not an hour from then, but my chiropractor was running late anyway, and I had a backup mask in my car since I forgot to grab my normal one which served the dual purpose of hiding my bad breath from everyone there :joy:
