I changed the temp setting on the water heater last night. (I always caveat things. Here I go again)
This shouldn’t have been intimidating, but the model we have has insulation over both temperature gauges, with wires covering the insulation. I’d been convinced that I was going to somehow wreck the heater trying to get the insulation moved. I did not, and the water is now appropriately hot.
Also, the bigger victory is lately I’ve had energy to do things after work. Not like the second I log off for the day, but after a break I can get some things done again.
Today I was vindicated in my obsessive checking of beans before I soak them. I found a small rock in them. I hadn’t seen one in years, but still, I’m glad I found it now and not in the finished dish!
My 12 month old climbed up the play structure and went down the slide on her own, multiple times, cackling the whole way.
(With dad hovering behind haha but not intervening, and my step was to take her off the slide and back around to the other side so she didn’t eat bark chips in between)
I watched Happiest Season last night and it was so good! I cackled at the terrible bits and thoroughly enjoyed the whole thing. As far as Christmas movies goes, it was great. And while I was fully aware of many criticisms it rightfully received, I still had a good time watching it.
