Today was Kid-3’s 22nd birthday and she received at least three birthday wishes from family members featuring her preferred name and pronouns. Coming out within the family is far from complete, but is finally making meaningful progress.
Great grandma is still the big challenge that seems permanently stuck. But our family is close and she’s the matriarch, so it matters.

I found an old wireless mouse in my box of junk and replaced my broken work mouse with it. I can now click on things again!

Our new toilet seat arrived! I no longer have to sit gingerly on a broken toilet seat that the hinges snapped off of so the whole thing slides everywhere while you are trying to pee or poop! I am so excited!

This is the second one we’ve had to replace, the first one broke as soon as lockdown started. I swear we are not abusing our toilets!
This one has metal hinges which I am hoping will snap off less easily than the last 2 rounds of plastic hinges.

The plastic ones really super suck. The metal ones are not as good as they used to be, but they last a lot longer than the plastic ones. We’re currently on plastic since there wasn’t a metal hedge available without going into a store at that time. That was about April. But plastic has lasted since then!

My dudes, this happened last week but I’m still delighted: my dental hygienist told me my home care was exceptional!
Post baby I struggled with gum issues and have been soooo stringent on flossing and brushing the right way so I am feeling VICTORIOUS.

That’s awesome! Do you also have a Waterpik? It’s such an amazing device and is a great investment for your gum health! My teeth get that smooth “just got back from the dentist” feeling every time I use it!
