Last night it got properly cold for the first time this year. I remembered to cover the aloe but forgot about my basil plant out front, but it seems fine!

The local covid infection rate just dropped very slightly. This is the first drop in months. I am feeling something strange. Is it hope?

My husband got ahold of Comcast and now we’re paying $5 less than we were ($20 less than it jumped to) and have 25% higher speeds.

Its not really a personal victory but
During covid my work went to using single use plastic containers for all our lunch (and if we wanted to take away dinner and breakfast) but as of today we are allowed to use our own reusable containers!
So much less waste and landfill and plastic.

I texted my neighbors two houses down to tell them their holiday decorations look great.
Truth
The decorations do not look great, they are tacky as hell and include an inflatable Santa wearing a camo Santa suit… but it’s been a damn hard year and they seemed so happy putting it all up, I wanted to reinforce that joy for them. 
Camo Santa… lol.

A neighbor on our default dog walking loop has such a Santa. I am torn, it is like the current ads for James Earl Jones (aka Darth Vader) reading the Bible.

I don’t know that name, it’s the one from 1964 that Burl Ives narrated. I love it! Maybe it’s not the original? But it’s the only one I’ve known.
