This is the third day in a row that I have inadvertently coordinated my fabric mask with my outfit.
This is a BIG ASS TONY VICTOR. I don’t normally believe in sharing my charity stuff with others but I’m very passionate about ending child marriage in the United States and it looks like Pennsylvania is FINALLY about to sign a law into effect making the minimum age 18 (there isn’t one now and girls, because it is always girls, as young as 15 have been married here as recently as 2014).
HELL YES!!!
If anyone is flush with cash and looking for a great organization to donate to, check it out:
My cat is asleep in her own bed instead of pressing her boiling hot body against me (it’s hot out today). Good job kitty!
This is after moving her to her bed well over two dozen times, but still!
I have fantastic humans looking out for me
While our library is closed I’ve informally been letting a couple homeless guys stay under the building’s covered porch. One of the guys has obtained a broom and dustpan from somewhere and is sweeping the entranceway to the library every day, just as a nice thing to do.
I ordered a new office chair when this whole shelter in place started and Kiddo “helped” assemble it. The last few days he started saying he wants a special chair of his very own. I remembered we had a child sized beach chair stashed away in the garage from like two years ago that was gifted to us but he never used, it wasn’t even buried under a lot of other stuff by some miracle. Now he is delighted with his own special chair.
Okay this is the best. On so many levels. Thank you for taking care of your community, in all the ways that entails.
I am still managing to make good bread even though I have run out of quality bread flour and had to use bleached AP for the base of this (plus the last of my whole wheat and some seeds and whole grains). Basically, tiny victory is that bread keeps on breading!
My province is being terrible so I explained Keynesian economics and now my older kid is stomping around talking trash about our “filthy anti-Keynesian premier”
I suck at homeschooling but I’m awesome at indoctrination.
Bunny’s nails are trimmed, and her heavily shedding fur has been brushed. She hopped back into her room and thumped her disapproval afterward, but I think she knows it’s for her own good. She’s 10 years old, and as sassy as ever!
I ordered snacks from a bulk foods website and they have arrived. I have snaaaaaaaacks. SO very many snacks.
Guys! Look! I made my very first bread! It’s super yummy English muffin bread and also super easy. It didn’t require a dutch oven which I haven’t received yet.
I have snacks too! Or I will, when they finish doing the detox in the back of the truck. Husband had to go in to my institution to fill out hire paperwork and show his ID. Sucks but masks, gloves, get it done as quickly as possible with just one other person. And he’s getting work!
Since we were going anyway and I knew my building would be empty, I went in and pillaged my office for everything I’ve been wishing I had while working from home. Man, I had a lot of food in there. Also tech gear, all the tea in the world, one roll of toilet paper (!), and snacks. Oh, and my shiatsu massage cushion.
That looks so good! I totally forgot English muffin bread is a thing. Now I want…!
Lemon curd on waffles is delicious.
I love lemon curd.
Thank you for the information, it has been added to my Waffle List.
Blueberry compote is excellent with waffles and lemony things too.
My bag sold through ThredUp and I now have $310 to either cash out or spend thrifting on their site!
Wow! That is a lot of dollary-doos!
