Came into the running store to find this on the staff break table :cookie: :cookie: :cookie:!

Oh, yes…uh…I’ve gone through five boxes of cookies already. With some help. But mostly solo :joy:

I make rules for myself that I have to be asked by an actual Girl Scout to buy cookies. Have not encountered any in the wild yet and I’m starting to jones for cookies.

I believe booth sales starts in the next couple weeks!

I used to be a GS leader and was 100% hit up for presales this year.

My girl scout calls me and says “Put H on the phone, I need to know how many boxes he wants” she has identified the weak link in our grocery budget and used this knowledge to great advantage

She would be happy to call you too if you want

Like the girl who set up shop outside a marijuana dispensary. That one definitely knew her customer base.

There seems to be a pretty regular Girl Scout outpost right where Sweaty switches between train and bus on his commute home. He has come home with a cookie haul twice so far. He even paid for a box he saw someone steal, because he is a good dude. I haven’t encountered any Girl Scouts in the wild yet. I have just scavenged from his and now from work.

I tried aqua Zumba this morning and

  1. Superficially had the best body in the class
  2. Was 20 years younger than every other participant
  3. Had fun and will do it again

So tempted. I refuse to purchase from the random order forms on the break room table. How long do cookie sales last?

My council usual does booth sales every weekend for a month.

It’s also technically against the rules for parents to bring forms to work (because then the parents are selling, the girls aren’t) and for girls to set up booths near bars/dispensaries/etc.

Turns out I have never legitimately bought any GS cookies.

What if the girls go with them? The parents I’ve seen always have a kid with them. The girls are always shy and everyone tries to be 200% nice to them because we remember being that kid back in the day. :slightly_smiling_face:

Yep, girls going with them is absolutely allowed!

My brain is often maladaptive, but it turns out that years of teaching myself ways to untwist it mean that I was able to help a friend figure out what he was feeling about an interaction with a different group of friends and how he wanted to respond to it. That was a good moment.
