Someone made a somewhat transphobic joke on the group chat and we SHUT THAT SHIT DOWN. The dude who made it isn’t even consciously transphobic, and was just like “Oh, yeah, that was tasteless. My bad.”
Amazon sells good curry paste. Even Dollar General sells soy sauce these days. And fish sauce is a biannual purchase if you get a big enough bottle, so it can be handled on a trip to a city. This means I can cook what I want even living out here.
I slept through to 6:45 AM with only two small wake ups last night.
I closed an “extra” bank account that was tying up $5 of my money.
Did I save or invest that $5? I did not. I got coffee. But I have less digital “clutter” which somehow makes me feel good?
I’m eating pocky while watching the pastry chef on Bon Appetit attempt to replicate pocky.
I have $91.37 more than I thought! My Uber earnings account was not balancing, and it took me forever to figure out why. Somehow the transaction logging the money I earned on Christmas Eve got deleted from YNAB. I very strongly suspect a certain feline who delights in dancing on the keyboard. Yay, money!
I didn’t bring enough food for the fact that I ran 9+ miles this morning, and I was sorely tempted to run out for a snack. But I dug out my emergency PB and we have some apples a client brought us in the fridge, so I’m all set and don’t even need to use my convenience store gift card to snack it up!
When it’s an hour before you can take any more ibuprofen safely, it is still technically possible to dose your herbal tea with a little bit of brandy in the middle of the afternoon to keep the pain down.
(Soreness from falling in the night is really kicking in.)
I’ve had salad for lunch for the past four days. (This is such a January statement!)
My good neighbors gave me some citrus they brought back from Arizona. (They are from Arizona and have family there with fruit trees and when they visit they usually bring back oranges and lemons and grapefruit and it is awesome, I love these neighbors!)
I got a giant bag of 6-9, 9-12, and 12-18m girls clothes from a neighbor through Buy Nothing. They’re in amazing condition, to my taste, fill a hole in clothing pieces we don’t have, and is a brand I like the sizing of so far. Definite win!
Two more Benadryl, one more night of sleep for three people (two human, one canine). The barfing is mostly anxiety.
99% likely got current foster cat adopted! We are holding him for another week while his new home gets ready for him.
Submitted two job applications without procrastinating and whining for an hour beforehand!
I was just able to sit in child’s pose for like 30 seconds while stretching today. After hip+back surgery 1.5 years ago, which took away all of my mobility, this was a huge step that I have been working on…well for a while now!
@Panda that’s awesome! I have yet to accomplish the “without procrastinating and whining” part haha
Husband and I walked to a coffee shop with the baby. Perfectly caught some nice sunshine, and it hailed after we got home. It was the furthest I’ve walked since the baby came. Went pretty well! Although we’ll see how I feel tomorrow haha.
My Fitbit is not broken!!!
Went to the gym this morning and did a beginner’s kettlebell workout! I’ve always been intimidated by the big burly bad boy weight training section. It’s not so bad!
I did 30 minutes on the stationary bike this morning at the gym! This means I successfully ignored myself when I tried to mentally justify stopping at 15 minutes, 20 minutes, and 25 minutes. I had originally punched in a goal of 40 minutes, but I’m taking the win.
