Husband and I went outside with the baby for a (very, very) short walk. There was sunshine. He babywore successfully. She was happy the whole time. Victory.
Big, sweet, delicious victory, that!
It is cold in my house (like 62 degrees?) but I have a big homemade afghan in ridiculously tacky colors and a cat lying on my legs and keeping me warm with her excessive body heat and fur. YES PLEASE.
And I get to experience this because I get to work from home, about which I am very grateful rn.
Husband significantly expanded Mr. Obnoxious’ area in the atrium today, plus now we can let him in the kitchen door for meals. Also he built a gate in the fence so we can access the area from kitchen or outside the courtyard (previously we could only access it by getting a stepladder and climbing over the fence, so this is a major improvement).
I stopped at the local fish shop today. I never go there because of convenience, but I love it. Great prices and a small, family owned place. Groceries from the big box stores don’t give me the warm fuzzies like this.
Leggings with pockets!
Little dude initiated conversation with a stranger for the first time in his life, yesterday. Also he made his first ever jokey reference to sex (he wrote that bees help flowers get laid on a science test)
His social development has been nonlinear, to say the least. These two developments are HUGE.
Six shirts ironed and folded and packed into the ThredUP bag in progress. Still room for a few more things, might as well stuff it as full as I can.
I have been sucking at hitting my daily step target. I just finished Zumba and am now walking on my treadmill to hit my 12,000 steps.
I worked all day in my fuzzy slippers.
We sometimes comment about your tummy complaints being not so tiny, but you also grace us with more-than-tiny victories. Fuck yes, LD!!!
My Tony Victor is petting this cat.
Go big or go home, amirite?
Exactly.
Also, tiny complaints, not tummy complaints. Thanks autocorrect.
Sometimes my tiny complaints are tummy complaints.
I discovered that I had cash back I needed to redeem on the CC that’s now holding my Big Vet Bill … $40! Everything helps. Yay!
I successfully snuck out of our room with the baby without waking my husband up so he could sleep in. He’s a super light sleeper and has been doing a ton of the night time baby duty, so it’s a major victory! Bonus points, I also did not wake the Pup who lately has been of the opinion that any wake up after 4am should be her breakfast time
Got into a specialist within a week of referral. Specialist confirmed diagnosis, which is a good thing.
Meditated for 10 minutes today after months of no practice.
My favourite and winter proof skin cream was available today, and then everyone bought some. Shopping with friends is fun at the one of a kind show (but not usually other places).
I made it through an hour of Tai Chi! I shall now lie down all afternoon.
Have called the cable company and gotten them to return me to a reasonable price for internet service. Really looking forward to city broadband eventually getting to me, even if the prices are slightly higher, because at least the ridiculousness can stop. I mean, there’s one of me. It shouldn’t take half an hour for a customer service agent (technically two agents, I guess) to accept that I have no use for 12 simultaneous high-def streams and maybe look at the plan I asked for in the first place.
