Yeah if you’re regularly having to work around things your car should be doing normally then I think that counts. Didn’t you just get this new-to-you car not too long ago (like last year or something)? Can you get a newer car next time, like maybe only ten years old?

I got it two years ago, and my budget was pretty specific. (Based on how much cash I had in my savings)
I’ll drive it until it dies then buy again based on how much I have in my cash reserves. Or maybe go car-free? That would be cool…

Amex decided that because i switched cards, they would report my account open date as this year rather than when i opened the account in 2008. My credit score took an 11 point hit. It’s still about 800, but WTH Amex?

I have a sudden infestation of big raised bumps with surrounding itchy area for like, at least an inch around. On my face. Including right under my eye. I can’t tell if this is some sort of fucked up contact dermatitis or what. It doesn’t feel like acne at all, although the bumps look almost acne-like. It itches so much that it almost burns, and Benadryl cream and loratidine is not helping nearly as much as I was hoping it would.

Cool compresses may help. A hot compress may help dull the itching for a bit. Topical ointments never help my itching. Though calamine “works” the best for me.

Might be. It started shortly after I packed up some books for the move, so I’m really hoping it’s not some sort of mite. D:
If it’s still like this in a day or two I’ll be hitting up urgent care for sure. I’ll try to the cool compresses – I’m in the office today but it’s super quiet, so I feel okay plonking a cool wet paper towel wad over my face.

Anywhere that does local fish? Trout, etc? (Or could you make sushi at home with fresh local fish?)

I’ve never looked but local stuff could not ever be the same as salmon or hamachi or eel.

Nothing is the same as eel. Eel is a godlike food.
But – trout is still nice, and makes a good nigiri.

Second thought is if your HC provider has mychart or something similar, send a pic to them too. Don’t have to leave the house, but still get reassurance.
