For best affect approach at night so you only see the glowing red eyes coming at you until he’s right there ![]()
Yes. Can confirm. It probably helps that I did not know about Blucifer ahead of time and had been travelling all day already. But straight up genuinely terrifying.
It’s the legend that’s important, not the physical statue ![]()
(In case anyone doesn’t know, Bluecifer literally killed its creator
)
After weeks of virtually no holds coming in, TWENTY kids books I had on hold all came at once ![]()
This is how it always goes
I should know better by now.
I just looked up what it is and what the hell there’s a demon horse guarding the airport?! ![]()
The internet picture are so dramatic I thought it was like 3 stories tall but it’s a normal “very large statue” size
It’s 32 feet tall so practically 3 stories!! Probably it would look a lot bigger if you walked up to it.
UGHHHH. When toddlers ask for a refill of something, eat one tiny nibble, then say they’re done. ![]()
The wiggler asked politely for a cookie so I said I would get him one but it turned out there was only one cookie left so I got no cookies.
I’ve had quite a few small projects to do for quite a while. Why do I ignore them? Maybe because getting out the tools will take longer than doing the work? Ugh. I need to just stop being lazy and get these things done, but I really like laying on my couch with a book. I’m going to get started today though!
Woke up early this morning and figured that I might as well do some cleanup on my upstairs bookshelves, only to have a bottle of wine leap to its death (admittedly when I bumped that shelf pretty hard with a chair). I don’t particularly care about the wine itself since I mostly just keep a few bottles around for host gifts, but cleaning up shattered glass and red wine wasn’t in my plans for this morning. TV, at least most of the wine that didn’t end up on the wood floor soaked into a black carpet square, though.
My apartment doesn’t have a costume closet.
Trying to take a bath, which is rare for me. No hot water past the 1/3 full stage ![]()
I’ve killed no less than 10 mosquitos in my house today. I love rain but I’m ready for my dry, mosquito-less desert to come back
The little thingies that you stick in the sides of kitchen cabinets to hold up adjustable shelves keep falling out. This resulted in the untimely death of my ceramic skull and gravestone measuring cups.
This is super annoying! I wonder if the wood is expanding and contracting due to heat and humidity? Because sometimes it’s fine and sometimes you stick the little peg back in and it just falls right out due to being clearly too small for the hole. We are puzzled, and I don’t want to bother the landlord for something that minor. There must be a DIY fix.
You can buy a pack of them at a hardware store. I’m not sure how much bigger the hole is, though, if you can take the one that keeps falling out (put it in a plastic bag so it doesn’t get lost) maybe that’ll help. The pack I got from the store are metal and seem to work better than the cheap plastic ones that come with furniture kits sometimes.
OneS. Multiple. We now have a whole drawer of them because we gave up and just pulled the 2 shelves out that were problematic, and reorganized things. ARGH.
Is the whole thing metal? Ours have a metal peg and a plastic thingie that the shelf actually rests on. The problem seems to be with the peg itself. I didn’t know they came in sizes, though, that’s good to know.
Part of me just wants to jam some chewing gum in there to hold it in place. ![]()
