Tiny Complaints

My wife got this chair on Amazon a year ago and it’s amazingly comfortable if the basic task char style of office chair works well for you. It’s only $40ish

My chair is a 20 year old knockoff of the Aeron that probably isn’t made anymore.

I changed my kid’s outfit twice due to lasagna, got all ready to get him on a walk, and while I was grabbing the coats he got up 3 stairs. So now I guess we’re chilling upstairs, cranky and napless instead of happy walk sleeping?

Our chairs at work cost over $1000. They replaced them all. With “better” chairs that also cost over $1000. The “better” chair made my back hurt so badly I was crying by the end of the first day and had to beg for my old chair back. The office manager replaced the first one because it was so painful for her.

Chairs are so personal. Wherever you order from, make sure you can return.

I know you technically didn’t ask us for advice, and this is a super off the wall suggestion that won’t work for everyone. But have you ever tried a yoga ball? I cannot abide… pretty much any chair. But I can handle a yoga ball twice as long. And they’re like $15 so pretty small investment to trial :woman_shrugging:

I admit I hadn’t considered this! I’ve never tried one. I’d have to figure out where to store it when not in use so it doesn’t become a giant cat toy. But it might be worth a look.

Some are inflatable. (I don’t know if they’re any good)

the owl mittens and one of the gate lace fingerless gloves are MIA. I checked the closet and the chest, and the shadowy one checked the basement.

A duct fell out of the ceiling at the rental and i got mouse shit in my hair while fixing it and all the kids are having crises and my house is very cold and i am so so tired of the relentlessness of living in covid times.

The city just closed the river flood walls for the first time since 1999 and it’s still misting/raining. No no no no no, do not let the city flood on Friday the 13th of 2020.

They also make yoga ball chairs. My son has one and loves it. It’s basically a yoga ball that sits in a circular frame that’s got office chair casters. There’s also mostly pointless little chair back.

I think we got it on Amazon

TC - why commit to a tech update release schedule when it is always delayed due to testing finding a problem to lead to delays? Out of 6 releases this year only one happened when scheduled. Perhaps they should be spread out more than every 6 weeks to figure it out?

I find it embarrassing putting out massive communications to say a day after posting - oh yeah, it’s been delayed indefinitely again.

Some corporation bought up every single phlebotomy lab in my city and closed most of them. I need to get blood taken but I don’t want to travel to the fucking suburbs.

What is the play here? This has happened where I previously lived. They even closed the outpatient one in one of our HOSPITALS. What’s the gain?

Boo :frowning: I just had a checkup today and got blood drawn right in the same clinic.

Captive audience, monopoly, fewer, bigger labs is cheaper than many small ones. It’s a corporate move that hurts normal people. Instead of getting blood drawn I bought a painting and groceries. Take THAT, corporate labs.
