I set up a video call between my mom and Kiddo today so they could talk and he could show her the Halloween decorations he “helped” put up. I went back to focusing on work and/or prepping dinner. At one point I hear Kiddo yelling from the other end of the house “Mama, can we go visit grandma?” with tablet in hand - obviously he had been coached. This is not the first time this has happened.

I went for a hike, and didn’t realize I came home with a cholla ball stuck to my shoe. Later on I walked by my shoes barefoot, and got a cholla thorn stuck in the tip of my toe and I can’t get it out! It’s a super old dried up one, which means extra painful and sharp thorn 
I’ve tried to pull it out twice and stopped because I couldn’t take the pain. I guess it will just have to live there forever

Went on a run today. Beautiful fall weather, but with a view not unlike this:
One of my boyfriend’s coworkers had to evacuate with his girlfriend today. We’re far enough south that evacuation is very unlikely; we just get tons of smoke intermittently, depending on the wind.

Grandparents aren’t “supposed” to be anything. That’s up to you as a parent. They had their turn deciding how to raise kids, now it’s your turn to decide how things go. Don’t let them pressure or guilt you into anything that isn’t how you wanted it to go. (Easier said than done, yeah…still working on this)

We have 2 more all-hands meetings today in addition to a team meeting. TOO MANY MEETINGS. Weekly all-hands meetings are too much.

I’m too tired to lift my fingers enough to poke different links to read on the forum, and too unfocused to follow video on YouTube, even @Oro sewing videos. And between the steroids and the inhaler, I can’t sleep.
