Tiny Complaints

Onesie plus babylegs? My failure to thrive baby wore this combo a lot. Or a sleep sack.

I’m on my last can of seltzer and can’t justify going to the grocery store for something that feels so unnecessary when I have plenty of food and supplies at home. Water and tea until my next grocery trip!

We do a Sleep sack over a cotton sleeper, because SirB and I can’t sleep in a warm room, but the baby sleeps better being warmer than just one layer gives. I’ll look into the babylegs, but considering how she rolls off socks I wouldn’t be surprised if she shucks those off too :woman_facepalming:

At one point I considered gluing warm fabric to bigger kid’s legs. The struggle is real. Then they get a bit bigger and it gets much easier. Then they become teenagers and do their own laundry.

I have fantasized about wrapping her with ace wrap or similar. :grimacing: there is nothing like a baby busting out of clothes and then getting upset they don’t have clothes on. :woman_facepalming:

Our yard/“garden” is clayey clay that doesn’t know when to stop claying

Oh my god that’s my parents’ garden in Houston…could start a pottery kiln back there ugh

I was wondering that earlier. How clayey does clay soil have to be before you make ceramics out of it?

One of my closest friends is a literal lab ceramicist. I should ask her.

I would be curious to know!

I think I managed to get a mild sunburn in WI, in April.

I seem to be stuck in bed today. Bed is boring.

I have to go on a toilet paper mission this morning. The last 5 stores I’ve been to over 3 weeks have not had any, so it has become a “oops I’m on the last roll” critical mission. I am going to try Costco, but it’s literally my least favorite place to go, ever, but especially on a weekend

One of the times I had to go to Home Depot for house selling stuff they had some (I didn’t buy any because I didn’t need it). I was there pretty early, but if you luck out other places it might be an option. I would try to go on a weekday morning though if possible (HD being a zoo normally on the weekend, unless you can go early, they are still opening at their normal opening time here at like 6am, just closing very early).

I would prefer to go on a weekday morning, but I have to be logged in for work at 7:00am. I may just take a few PTO hours one day this week and go on a toilet paper hunt in the morning! A lot of the stores (Costco, for example) aren’t opening until 9:30 right now. That is a good tip about Home Depot though, I may swing by there if I don’t have any luck at Costco…

Yeah if you could get yourself out the door early, and if the hardware stores in your area area also opening normal time (I’d check the specific store opening times on the website, or call), if you can get there between 6 and 7 it will probably be sparsely populated. (I definitely felt much better being there super early.) I bet Lowes might also potentially have some since they basically have the same stuff as HD (it probably will be luck if they happen to get any shipments that day). I was a little surprised to see them (they were on a pallet right near the entrance door) but they do sell stuff like that and cleaning stuff normally, just not a lot of it.

I want to have a bolognese that I make but I don’t want to do any more dishes. I don’t have a dishwasher and I feel like the day is just neverending dishes.
