That sounds better than having to figure out new allergies!
YAY BOOT!
My husband bought half-off sourdough bread from the local bakery. It is not worth that much. (He was told it was made by a new baker who’s still learning sourdough, which is why it is obviously overproofed. I suspect it is also several days old and stale. Or maybe it’s overbaked as well as overproofed?)
Mercury is SO fucking in retrograde in my office. Dear editor, it says RIGHT THERE IN MY EMAIL to do X and not Y. Why in fuck, then, did you do Y? ARGH, reading comprehension!!
Also, I have to come in on my work-from-home day next week in order to get one of the paczki that my boss is ordering for the office.
Which, I shouldn’t be complaining, because free paczki. And I don’t have time to go stand in long lines to buy paczki on my own, and there are minimum quantities for pickup/delivery orders which is far more than I would want to eat. But it’s gonna snow that day.
And finally, I bought 3 kinds of tea in Hawaii. 2 are lovely. Just tried the third and it is foul. It smells like, I don’t even know what. Decaying plant matter?
Bummed. I won the Hamilton lottery again but for Miami for tomorrow night and have no one to go with so I will be passing them up.
Pros: save the impulse money for a pair of $20 tix valued from $300-$2000
Cons: get new friends who can do impulse stuff (joking - or not?)
B. It’s spring break so hotels and airfare are expensive
I have another 90 minutes before the offer becomes invalid. I think I have learned my lesson for entering contests where places are more than an 8 hour drive.
Talked to an able guy at work about some of my frustrations with my compensation and how my employment (re: disability) is handled. Today he reached out to talk about something related, he said. He’s kind of a team lead so I was excited, thinking I could positively impact policy or give suggestions or something.
He wanted my advice on asking for a raise. For himself. And related it to what’s happening with me.
Totes samesies. SMH.
Also…I’m so sick of people complaining about stuff being shut down when the reason is to make it accessible. My coworkers constantly complain about construction projects that are happening to FINALLY make stuff accessible. I don’t get how they don’t see how fucking offensive that is. It’s like they can’t handle minor inconvenience, even while a whole big group has like no access or power. But ohhh no, they might have to temporarily take a bus instead of a train #oppression
Ughhhhh, just one of those days I guess. Thanks for the vent.
:< I’m sorry.
People are just generally so baseline ignorant.
You know what? You’re right.
Let’s work on that.
I was out and being SO PRODUCTIVE and it was lunchtime so I went for lunch. Lunch was waaay too much food for too much money, and now I have to throw up and sleep for a few hours before I can think about doing things again. So much for my productive day.
Second day of loud construction outside my window. City didn’t warn anyone they were coming. Concrete crew have really lewd and sexist company t shirts on.
Complaint of my own making; I offered to be backup if my brothers cat care fell through for his trip, and it did fall through, and now I actually have to go do the thing I said I would do. And now I don’t wanna. Although I may use this to escape aforementioned loud construction.
Yes. Including myself! Not to that level very often I hope, though.
That guy sucks so bad. The amount of cluelessness is appalling.
My complaint is that I am still seeing sub-par accessibility on new facilities/buildings etc.
I put the wrong color on my time tracker. Red is web browsing, not exercise!!! Ugh.
Numb face post-dentist. Too numb to eat yet, and I’m huuungry.
