Had to have my car towed to repair shop to repair starter. Paid $788 for starter repair, and drove car home. Parked car and suddenly car is making crazy whirring sound when off, smelling like burning rubber, and vibrating. WHAT. Now my car is back at the mechanics, who have no idea what happened, and I am still carless in a new town with no friends. Wonderful.
Update: Apparently the $400 part I paid for is defective! So now I’m getting a whole new one…they were very apologetic, and I know its not like they physically made the starter…but still…no more car for the rest of the day.
This totally sucks. Perhaps the 5 who can’t afford it can contribute pot luck style so you are not stressed out trying to do it on your own? It may cost them the same but they may not think so.

Tiny victory: bigger kid has a mom who gives a fuck that he has a dislocated rib, and about long-term health for him, so things will be that much better long term.
I have two physically difficult tasks to perform today and zero physical capacity. Making breakfast gave me a fever.
And the first step of the first task has me stumped. How to remove a dishwasher that doesn’t want to move? I removed all the screws and lowered the legs. The internet has no suggestions.
And my kid still has a dislocated rib. He disregarded my suggestion of ice and is in terrible pain. Young fool. Not that ice is a magic cure, but there is little else that can help.
Additional complaint: I was disconnecting the wiring for the dishwasher and Daisy swooped by and ate the cap for two of the wires. I had to dig it out of her slimy mouth. So unprofessional, Daisy!
I’m currently in a clinic that is out of masks. So…if anyone screens positive for recent cough, I will refuse to treat. I feel awful about both things.
Also, I have masks under the bed. If I’d been advised, I couldn’t have supplied patients, but could have worn my own.
Also, medical supply companies are out of stock of masks/being asked to hold masks for other types of clinics as supplies are available.
I am SO SO SO HANGRY and I have had back to back meetings for the past 2 hours and 15 minutes.
One of which was an hour and a half all-hands with the CEO blathering on about corporate goals and such.
Seriously, SO HANGRY. I ate all the snacks in my desk on Monday. And next I have a standup at which I should probably not bark at people simply because I am hangry.
