The cashier at the grocery store took my mesh bag of onions and put it into a plastic produce bag. Why??? And onion mesh is plastic anyway.

Wizard heard back from his recruiter at the place he interned at over the summer. They apparently do not want to move forward with hiring, despite the fact that his team over the summer seemed to really like him.
He is definitely sad/upset right now.

We had our annual halloween chili cookoff today at work. Only 4 people made chili and only 1 was vegetarian. I don’t eat meat. Sigh. It was pretty good, at least.
Also, only 1 person dressed up for the costume contest. Everyone’s so bummed out since the layoff, I don’t think anyone felt like celebrating.

The gym I go to (city-run, near my house, free 3x a week) is pretty overtly hostile to women who stray too far from the elliptical machines. I’m so tired of the dirty looks and nasty comments. Wtf, free and convenient gym?

In the past week three kids have been attacked in my neighbourhood.
Summary
A 3 year old was stabbed repeatedly. A 14 year old was murdered. An infant was shot. The infant is expected to survive (it was birdshot) and they don’t know how the 3 year old.
So nobody is trick or treating. My kid wants to go out but I don’t think anyone is handing out candy. The whole neighbourhood is scared and upset and it sucks.

My midwife appointment is late, and I’m stuck in the waiting room with a really weird /annoying/pushy guy. I do not have the reserves to play nice with someone right now. Dear god please call me back. Even if I sit in an empty room. Do not care.
