Sciatic nerve intends to be unpleasant. In my professional opinion, it basically won’t be kind for like the next 4 months. Lovely. At least it’s unilateral…for now.

I’m in bed and it is cozy and I have two dogs and a child on different parts of me, and they are all asleep. I used to be asleep. But I need to pee so badly and I can’t move without waking them.

If I leave now to pick up Ewok from daycare, I’ll miss the worst of the traffic and the storm. But it’s hard to make myself get up and drive in this weather, especially when I’m tired after work and just want to chill out.

It is 4:45am. My dog has had diarrhea 3 times in the past 2 hours, and I am now completely out of paper towels and enzymatic spray to clean it up, and won’t be able to go out for more until like… 7am. She keeps wanting to go outside (probably to poop more) but it is currently 15 degrees, which means I let her out, and then run back inside, and then have to check on her every 5 minutes. I might as well stay up at this point, but I am sooooo tired.
Also, I was bemoaning the lack of context for Duolingo lessons (as Polish is an inflected language, and some things feel very random out of context), and I learned today after over a month of using the site that there is a Tips icon on each of the lesson cards. W. T. F. Way to be observant, CalBal.

Call scheduled for about 8 minutes from now with the company in Michigan. I’ll be finding out if we’re moving forward with the final part of the interview process. Not sure I like getting an email that says
“Let’s jump on a quick call tomorrow to discuss the team’s feedback”

Well, just got shot down. They’re looking for someone who is a clone of the people they already have rather than someone with experience in other areas of the field. I shouldn’t complain as I already have an amazing job, but rejection blows.
