Really, if they can’t say it money, they can fuck right off. If the actually tracked the cost of the crap items they pick, the man hours spent deciding on and selecting said crap items, the man hours spent approving said ruminations about selecting said crap items, besides the planning and “persinal” messaging of their “heartfelt” thank yous and whatever other direct or resource costs I haven’t thought of, they could probably directly give you all $100 each for less.

I have worked for TWO DIFFERENT companies that have sent meat to houses as thank yous/appreciations to every employee before. Both sent frozen turkeys for thanksgiving.
That someone might not eat meat never occurred to them.

My dad’s long-time employer was a jack in many ways, but they did good on this one – every holiday they would give each employee their choice of a turkey, a ham, or a big vegetarian lasagna.

if it is a good lunchbox otherwise, this is what stickers are for. Useful for travel meals, etc.
The metal insulated water bottle beside me is stickered for this reason.

You know, with a sticker over the logo, I’ll probably get a lot of use out of it to bring food to the hospital in medical school. Apparently it’s pretty big and you can wear it like a backpack

We got this a few years ago right around the time that many companies were RTO. Everyone freaked out and the higher ups had to quickly issue a statement saying “this does not mean we are taking away your remote work privileges.”

I have: a work branded lunchbox set, festival chair, insulated bag, and 2 fuzzy blankets (the cats do not care about corporate logos so they enjoy them.)
It’s getting to be a LOT. Stickers help for sure. Haven’t found one to cover the giant logo on the chair though. Might have to paint over it.

Ugh the stinging feeling when you are admonished for a social fuck up and you know you are in the wrong but you feel like a child being scolded. This feeling will pass and it’s good when friends can be honest and you can learn from mistakes

This literally happened to me a couple weeks ago. It does sting and it sucks but in my view it’s better to hear about it than to have someone pissed at me and letting it fester.
