Sometimes I hate how dense or unaccommodating systems are. My frustration came out today on a call when I early stated I am POA for health for my mom, and she cannot speak, but the other person requires verbal consent from my mom so I may speak on her behalf. I was pissed.

You probably have to email/mail/fax a copy of the POA and it needs to be urgent. The front line person should know the slow route and should have given it and been very empathetic. Escalating it should have an email or fax route where it is reviewed in 10min to 3h depending on how stupid their system is.
But you shouldn’t have to fight it or tell them how to do their job

I usually just buy the pre-made pie crust from a local place and make do, but I was tempted by a pot pie recipe that used puff pastry and started googling and got jealous. Maybe we should start a Schar letter writing campaign.
