He could whack that all day long and Windows 11 is just like “Nah”. He works in tech and even built his own computers in the past, he’s already tried all the low hanging fruit unfortunately.

First thing i did was move everything from the stupid centre aligned back to left.
I have no ideas about the start menu. But yeah. So much dislike and quite frankly the whole thing feels very Windows Vista

So if it’s annoying to use, do I not need to rush out and buy a new computer since mine cannot update to windows 11? Are there security reasons to not keep using 10? I was going to order something soon.

Yes, there are security reasons to upgrade. Lack of support means that you won’t be getting any patches/updates as new vulnerabilities are found – so you’re a really easy target to get messed with.
I don’t like a number of things about W11 but I would rather dislike these things than face unnecessary security vulnerabilities.

I feel like I’ve been able to tweak Windows 11 to look and work 80% like Windows 10 but it took some finangling.

I’ve recently moved to Windows 11 and really haven’t noticed much difference once I got my pinned apps and shortcuts set up the way I wanted.
It’s definitely strongly advised to move to 11 for security reasons but you may be able to get extended updates for your current Windows 10 machine while you shop around for a replacement.

Thanks for the input everyone. I’m sure I’ll bitch about windows 11 until I get used to it. I just ordered this, I’m sure it’s plenty good for the basic shopping, email and banking I will use it for. No matter what, I’m sure it’s much faster than the 9 year old one I’m using. It was “half price” at $469 today but I’m not sure that really means much, I think they have sales all the time, but it ended up less expensive than a lesser model so it’s fine.
