My mom hosted yesterday and had “a ton of leftovers”. It got us through lunch today and now we’re almost out of leftovers for dinner tonight so dinner will be scrambled eggs, beans, and toast. It suffers by comparison to yesterday’s food.

No. Not unless you have leftovers and then only in strange unbalanced ways. I thought cheese was mandatory though.
B1 asked me yesterday what day it was. Like day of the week. I had to explain days of the week have no meaning until Jan 6 when he has school and epiphany. My brother said Wednesday after every other adult had no clue. I did not fact check him to see if this was true or just choosing a random day.

I mean, we ended up at a greasy diner on Bourbon St where I had eggs and hashbrowns, that’s a meal, right??

Every year since I have worked here, I got Amazon gift card from my boss and my grandboss for Xmas. I had them spent in my head already on stuff we needed around the house.
This year I got Jack shit from my boss and grandboss donated in my name to a charity that I don’t have a problem with but don’t find personally meaningful.
I realize I am an asshole but considering that my company does absolutely nothing for us as far as any sort of Xmas bonus, I was kinda looking forward to this.
