I got so many of those March 2020. And not people who new I had a baby. Just like - I lied to you for 2 years and was bad at sex but I’m thinking about you while I work from home

Remember how I didn’t care when you had tragedies and then blew up a whole friend group? If you die of viral pneumonia I want you to remember that I said hi! Randomly missing the good times when I was 3 hours late after you traveled for 4h to meet up

I want to pick up some holds from the library but it’s an early voting spot with a small parking lot and three days into early voting I could see people circling to try to park in the middle of a weekday morning. Maybe I park nearby later and walk over.

You know you don’t have to reply, right? Can even block them if you want.

I never do! That’s what is truly mind boggling :joy: I have each of them blocked in various places but one reached out by e-mail this time which :exploding_head: come on, man!

This college “friend” that I dislike that dated a woman I know (she said they’re no longer on speaking terms) apparently wished her happy birthday via LinkedIn recently. Like, WTF?? Is he trying to hide it from his wife? Why even bother reaching out??

Our property tax went up to $13,500 this year :sob:

Transitioned managers a couple weeks ago, and some sort of system glitch meant that my and about five other people on my new team’s permissions didn’t transfer (and no one knew until it was too late), so as of noon today we have no access to anything to do our jobs. Which, if it was just a today thing I think we’d all just declare the day over and go have a drink, but we’ve now got to individually reapply for all of the permissions we need (plus any permissions we had from previous projects that we might need to support, so for me 100+ separate things), and our manager who has to handle the first round of approvals is out for the rest of the week so it has to happen now. If computers are going to be assholes, I should at least get half a day out of it.

How?? That is mind blowing.

The person I am no longer friends with has also done creepy things like this. He has reached out to me on Strava (which is like a running/biking app), Instagram and this time via e-mail. Nothing is safe!

It was $6-7K when we bought the house 12 years ago. Every year it goes up.

Do y’all not have protections on that? I know my taxes are locked at a 3% annual increase as long as I have a homestead exemption on my house.

Ok I think I misread that, thinking it went up $13000 in a year. But regardless that is a crazy amount of taxes!

The assessed value can only go up 3% every year but the amount of taxes levied can change due to ballot bond measures and other things. The past few years it’s been a 13% jump every year for us. Thank goodness they didn’t raise our assessed value following our renovation otherwise we could be paying far more! The assessor came by and left his card with Marmalade and I had told him “don’t let him in, we don’t legally have to!!”. Our shingles still look beat up on the exterior which may have helped to save us. A lot of people left or are looking to leave this county due to taxes.
