Tiny Complaints

I’m on the red (steroid) and yellow puffer (albuterol), but they haven’t said anything about maintenance dose after this is over. Child has been on this protocol where we do the red puffer the minute he coughs throughout the flu season but we should check with the allergist about whether or not to continue it this year.

Yesterday the doctor said that my symptoms sound so much like a secondary infection post-Covid, but I never tested for Covid because we had it after the 4th of July. :mask:

This is what I want to know!

I am out of the fancy hair detangler/leave in conditioner that prevents my hair from snarling badly. Thus, my hair is snarled badly.

Sephora carries it but I don’t want to pay shipping when I can just go pick it up in the quarter. Except I don’t have time to go there.

if you have a LinkedIn account, check Settings & Privacy > Data Privacy if you don’t feel like them training AI with your info, as you probably were automatically opted into saying yes to the question “Data for Generative AI Improvement Can LinkedIn and its affiliates use your personal data and content you create on LinkedIn to train generative AI models that create content?”

Complaint: unless I get super cheap crap/last maybe one year type of underwear, undies are like $15-$20 EACH nowadays!

I told myself a few weeks ago that I was going to follow an online pattern and just sew them myself, but I haven’t had the time and I’m very annoyed at how expensive they are. :briefs:

Even cheap Hanes / Fruit of the Loom cotton ones? What about Amazon?

I bought a brand, innersy from Amazon ages (4-5y) ago. Those are holding up. Same brand 3 and 2 years ago? Paper thin.

Mosquito bite on my upper inner thigh near my crotch.

They’re so poor quality. The last set of pack cotton ones I bought ripped like the fourth time I was pulling them up from my ankles-my fingers just went right through at the waist seam.

Just frustration. It’s ok, I’ve been to the bottom of the internet for the style, quality, and a reasonable price I want and at this point just have to pay for them or sew them.

Sewing your own is tough as you need seams that can stretch in all dimensions. You might also need thread with some stretch.

I will admit I have a hoard of underwear, so I haven’t bought any for a long time.

I want to build an underwear hoard. I had one in 2002 and rebuilt in 2011ish. Oddly enough the times that my commutes led straight through malls. The hoard is secure and practical

Kind of like a toilet paper hoard. My mom had a toilet paper hoard back in the 1990s - she bought a pack whenever it was on sale (only small packs way back then)

I bought underwear for teens at kohls last night and it fits so! You never fucking know I guess

Are you looking for a specific kind? I used to get Pact ones during Black Friday and they were less than $10 a piece. The quality is good!

I’ve considered pact, maybe I’ll keep an eye on the sales.
Just looking for true natural fabrics (bamboo processed into viscose is a no go for me and my butt cheeks) to keep down skin irritation, a high thick waistband (I don’t care for the ribbon style waist elastic) and either 5"-ish boxer style or high cut (maybe that’s called french cut?) on the leg so I can move (I feel like I can’t move in the other kinds).

I wish it wasn’t so specific, but I am apparently of the age where I have a specific type of underwear I want. Ha.

You know what works for you! I don’t know if the waistband is thick enough for you but they have a high-cut brief– apparently a new product!

(And if you find what you like at Pact or anywhere else, I would definitely hold out until Black Friday to get a discount!)

I’m an aerie evangelist, especially if they are running a sale on undies. Looks like right now it’s 6 pairs for $30. Some options seem like they would work for you requirements, but probably best to check yourself.
