Tiny Complaints

If Cigna won’t cover OTC covid tests because (paraphrasing) “covid is over”, why in fuck is there still a specific page on their site to submit claims for them?

The freshly peeled clementines I bought at the grocery store were so sour I couldn’t eat them. Wtf? Now I am without delicious clementines.

Nah I’m gonna throw them out. I keep thinking of Dad’s bout with salmonella and I’m like ‘let’s not take any chances’

I’m in the office and have eaten all my desk snacks. The best option at the vending machine was peanuts.

The person stocking that machine should be fired.

That was normal for my lab. And rats, sea urchins, chicken eggs, quail ….

Gawd I hate that. I go in spells where that happens a lot. I think the bitten area swells a little and becomes more vulnerable.

I first read that as lap, so I admit I was relieved on your behalf

Well, it’s a chemistry lab, not a biology lab…

Maybe they will accidentally poison themselves. Not many tasty things in a chem lab.

Our refrigerator is not making things cold and our water heater is not making things hot.

No. Don’t do this, appliances.

It sounds like you pissed off the union.

Fortunately, Labor Day sales?

I think we’re going to finally replace the fridge. It has undergone many, many repairs, some of the same thing, and the defrost element keeps burning out. There’s a flaw somewhere deeper in the system and I’m getting tired of emptying it and getting out the hair dryer to defrost it. It’s at least 25 years old, so it doesn’t owe us much.

The water heater is younger, as we bought it for this house, but it’s over 10, and apparently that’s all you can plan on these days. We’ve also done multiple repairs/descaling with it, and it’s getting more frequent. Not yet 100% on replacing it, but likely.

They don’t have a union because they’re not smart. Nor will the new ones be. I’m bringing in scabs.
