Sorry for the Jumpy Ad Errors!

They “claim” they’ve “fixed” things. Please tell me what you are experiencing and if errors are still quite bad/reducing functionality.

I’m on duck duck go on a pixel 2? It’s weird but not awful

Some other stuff on other pages and ads that appear and disappear. It’s cool. We’re using angel fire for our websites again

The forum itself jumping around to load the top ad is disrupting my rapidly-read-all-recent-posts-while-on-my-break habit :grimacing::laughing:

I’m on the same device as noted before. I am a Patreon but ads still appearing…I’m not sure if I’m not a high enough level or if ads aren’t supposed to appear for any Patreon.

TY!

The patrons getting ads issue is a known issue, they are supposed to be gone for all patrons but the plug-in is actually broken.

Is it jumping each time it reloads or just on initial page load?

Mostly I am clicking on the wrong thread 9 out of 10 times because I keep forgetting to wait for it to finish loading so that bit is just retraining my habit.

I just checked - the forum text shifts down the page on initial load, but the ad at the bottom flashes every time I move the page by touching the screen - on Pixel 3A running Android 11.

Omg PDM I just saw your battery life and I’m now stressed.

It does seem better than at first but it’s still jumpy (original SE, broken so I can’t take screen shots)

Don’t worry too much - I was at home and wacked it on the charger once it went flat. Grabbed a different device and continued my 24hour/day OMD habit.

I just need to comment on how delightful I find you

The jumpy ad problem seems to have been fixed, at least for my iPad.

I don’t get any ads at all on my tablet in laptop form, even though they still exist on my desktop.

I haven’t looked on my phone, so I have no input there.

The ads have been removed for all users so the jumpy ad errors should be removed.

If you’re still getting ads on your desktop, clear browser cookies and cache. There should be no ads.
