Check out some Korean sunscreen products - I think they generally feel less yucky.
Warning - spray on sunscreen can ruin your nail polish.
I always used to feel this way until I started applying mine with a foundation brush. Maybe you already do that, but just in case…I squirt from bottle directly to face (and neck) and then do all the spreading with the brush. I never have to touch it except for my ears and I feel so much happier and more willing to do it.

I hate most Sunscreen Sunscreens but find that moisturizers with sunscreens don’t feel sticky/gross to me.
And of course the inevitable Korean sunscreen recommendation, they seem much more pleasant.

i read that just last week, the FDA approved modern sunscreen ingredients like the ones out of europe and korea have had for years! so maybe it will be easier to get the good stuff here soon.

Have you heard of the brand DRMTLGY? I love love love their sunscreen. A pretty big container that lasts me a while is $28. I use their universal tinted moisturizer. It’s a mineral sunscreen with spf 46 and goes on so nicely without any residue or looking mineraly.

So also korean brand blah blah, but I can’t wear chemical sunscreen near my eyes. The Korean face sunscreen is more fluid and less white BUT I realized that is because our body sunscreen is waterproof and this isn’t! So this one actually needs to be reapplied and is less gross.
Powder sunscreens are another option I looked at

I do my body lotion that way too because I’m a sensory sensitive snowflake - they have a self tanner spreading brush that spreads lotion delightfully.

This is a great idea! Touching it is 75% of the battle so I currently use a roll up deodorant style one. I’m going to try using a brush!
Also I do still hate how it feels on my face and it burns my eyes soooo bad.

Yes! I used a powdered sunscreen for a while, but I went through it really fast and I kind of feel like I sweated it off and it wasn’t very effective. But I like the idea!

You may already know it exists, but I just learned about spray on lotion! I’m excited to try it. I think it will still need to be spread a bit with a brush but definitely seems like it would make the lotion process easier!

My experience was that aveobenzine (one of the UV filters) was the ingredient that really made my eyes sting. Switching to a mineral or Korean sunscreen 90% solved this problem. If I have a really long day, I will eventually get a little eye sting regardless of product.

This sounds awful. Have you experimented with mineral sunscreens instead of chemical? Usually, mineral ones don’t burn, but I also know everyone is different. My face prefers mineral but I can do some chemical ones. My son’s face is very particular. I found one brand he could tolerate and compared chemical sunscreens in ingredients and figured out which one was the problem ingredient for him. Then only bought sunscreens that didn’t have that one in it. And now he mostly just has no interest in going outside so I forgot the name of the problem ingredient. But if I had to, I would just slap a mineral sunscreen on him as I know it won’t give him a rash.

I don’t like sunscreen and usually forget to use it. But this one is not greasy or heavy and I’m sure it was cheap.

That is so fair! I thought it was low cost compared to skin care products and other similar sunscreens but it is expensive compared to drug store sunscreen.

This hair thing is going to make me crazy. If I had known back in October that my local people had no idea how to do what I was asking for I would never have tried color correction. My first lady colored my entire head light brown including my 6 month old white growth and made me cry. I gave her 3 chances over 6 months to make it better and she did not, and kept doing what “she thought was best”. The last time I went to her she said “maybe next time I will try to tone it darker” well… why haven’t you been doing that all along then! Seriously, just tell me if I am asking for something that you can’t do. Obviously it’s a specialty major metropolis thing and since I am not a hairdresser I had no idea.
A month ago I went to a new lady, the best colorist in my smallish town (she teaches color) and told her everything and showed her pictures. She said she could do what I was asking for. Spoiler: she did not, I again came out light brown all over which faded to blonde within 4 days, which I absolutely hated and looked terrible on me. My coworker who is a former hairdresser finally told me that what I am asking for would be extremely difficult for anyone to do, I wish she had said that 9 months ago. The new lady is very sweet and fixed it at no charge, and got it darker brown which I am so much happier with, but she did temporarily tone my white again. I knew that was going to happen but I still hated it, they are just coming out again after 3 weeks and I am much happier seeing them again. I love and missed my white!
I wish I had never attempted to do gray blending and had just cut it short. It would have been grown back out by now. As it is, at 15 months of growing out my gray I am back at the beginning and I am very sad. Hindsight truly is 20/20 friends!
