No, not at all. Rather pleasant. Unfortunately, it is literally the only thing I have ever put on my face and had an immediate reaction!

I might have to try it out! I find Elta MD too sticky.

We use this too for the kids!

Unfortunately I’m allergic to chemical sunscreens and am still hunting for the perfect mineral body sunscreen. I’m currently using the australian gold botanical one and it’s fine (though very scented) but I don’t love it.

Oh it’s chemical? Bummer

Thank you to the folks who recommended CeraVe here! Complete skincare noob (aside from sunscreen), so decided to try a CeraVe cleanser and moisturizer since they’re not expensive. I used them literally once and my coworker (who I see multiple times a week) was like, “Your skin is GLOWING what did you do??” Gave her the product names, so y’all may have a secondary convert there too

I was thinking of trying it after I run out of my stuff too!

Yesssss! I feel like an insane evangelist, but it’s just good product! And yeah, not that expensive! I’m so glad it works for you!

Does anyone refrigerate their retinol? Mine is from The Ordinary and says to refrigerate it, but then I forget to use it.

I have a mask. I’m not great about using it so that’s a bit of a problem. It is supposed to give good results but I haven’t been perfect in my usage and also haven’t done anything like before and after pictures so I can’t really say. I have this one.

I have retinol from the ordinary but I don’t remember seeing anything about refrigerating it!

I actually went back and it does say that. I do not refrigerate it. When I was taking a break from it because my skin was irritated, then I put it in the fridge while I wasn’t using, but I think most people don’t refrigerate on a regular basis. My fridge is on a different floor from my bathroom and bedroom so it is a REAL nonstarter for me!

My first bottle I did not refrigerate. It worked great! The next bottle I learned about refrigeration and therefore never used it.

I’ve had the same one for a while now. I used it regularly for a year or so and then it broke. They replaced it for free but I’m not sure I’ve used it since I got the new one. I should!

Sorry if this is more makeup but, how do I get started with tinted moisturizer?

I bought a bottle of the Clinique dramatically different BB gel that comes out gray and then matches your face a few years ago but now it has been discontinued and I need something else that is just as easy to put on and does basically the same thing (cover up the slight white cast of my other skincare, even things out a little). But I don’t know what color to get, that was the whole point of the gel!

I’m not sure what to tell you about finding the right shade but I do have a recommendation. I’ve been using this BB Cream as my foundation and I love it more than foundation. It does go on kind of gray but then somehow it’s not gray? I don’t know but I like it a lot. I think with BB creams or CC creams or whatever, because they are more sheer than a true foundation, the color is more flexible? I don’t know, but I like this one a lot, have been using it for a few years, and it’s not expensive. Amazon.com: MISSHA M Perfect BB Cream No.23 Natural Beige for Light with Neutral Skin Tone SPF 42 PA +++ 1.69 Fl Oz - Tinted Moisturizer for face with SPF : Beauty & Personal Care I’ve been getting the color 21 Natural Beige and you’ve seen me, if that helps. I’m pretty fair and a little on the pink side.

I’ve heard great things about Laura Mercier, and I did like the feeling when I swatched in-store but haven’t tried on my face:)

If you have any time to go to Sephora or Ulta, someone there can help you match something. If you don’t have time, try 3 or 4 things and return what doesn’t work?

My current fave is the Danessa Myricks Skin Tint in Shade 2. If you have dry skin this is amazing — it leaves a lovely glowy finish but not shiny or sparkly. The other one I really like is the IT Cosmetics CC+ Nude Glow but wait until it’s on sale!

I heard good things about the ELF CC Camo Cream but it laid weird in my pores. I’m not always great about remembering to exfoliate and this one was less forgiving than the others.

I tried the Missha one linked above because it’s so widely loved and it looked good but I hated the way it smelled so much that I had to get rid of it. Just wanted to shout that out in case you are sensitive to smells like I am!

I also love missha BB cream though there are a lot of fakes on Amazon so I don’t buy it there.

I also love Dr Jart’s CC correcting cream which does the same matching thing!! It has SPF too
