Can’t join tonight, but I’m eyeing up this pattern as my next WIP and I’m not even done my shawl. Happened to see the pattern debut on their IG and really like it. Might make it longer since it seems a little short for my taste but I think I can handle that.

Pattern is Lake Melissa by Blue Sky Fibers

This looks beautiful and comfortable. Would this be a beginner level or harder?

The IG comments say entry level intermediate I think. It’s knit bottom up and seamed

Well, meant to join but took a nap instead (this is becoming a Thursday thing)…will try again in the future

Almost finished half the back panel on one side of this silly tank top. I switched the main and contrast colours for the upper back because I was concerned about running out of the grey.

I screwed up the striping pattern on this (being less precious about things) sock, and I think I’m ripping back 10 rows to fix it.

Or maybe I just go back to the tank top and not make decisions like that after a cocktail.

I just looked at this thread for the first time and wow! Your knitting is exquisite! I’m excited to see how the tank turns out. What yarn are you using?

My current WIP, much neglected due to hand pain.

Freeform log cabin throw/wall hanging for my partner’s mom. Currently debating whether I need to redo the tan at the top. The yarn is a bunch of stuff that partner’s mom’s sister Anita collected over the year. Some of it is super rough, probably rug wool, some of it is camel, and some is pretty regular Jamieson and Rowan wool. The blue square in the middle is a swatch made by Anita that was still attached to one of the skeins. I’m mentally racing to get it done because Anita is currently in the late stages of Alzheimer’s and I want to get it to Partner’s Mom before she dies and it gets super sentimental and I crumple under the pressure of making it perfect.

Thank you, it’s Ella Rae rustic lace - 75% wool, 25% silk, which is why this is such a very silly tank top. Cotton/linen or a less rustic wool would be much more appropriate for the style.

And the other reason it’s very silly is that it’s 283m/50g, and the recommended yarn is 202m/50g or 154m/50g. I misread the Ravelry pattern page pretty thoroughly. I picked up the yarn at my LYS’ going out of business sale, and I knew I needed to cast on quickly, or it would languish, so I’m working it through.

It sounds like perfect is the enemy of done for your log cabin. Is your concern the gauge?

ripped back to the missed stripe pattern on the sock while waiting for the ultrasound

Last night around 9pm I realized the tank top back was wrong, because I hadn’t mirrored the underarm bindoff on the other half of the back. I looked at the pattern again for the fifth or sixth time just now and finally figured out what I did wrong. To fix it properly would need me to redo the whole white side on both sides. So instead I’ll just rip back the second side and redo to match the first.

ETA: 30 minutes later, I have recognized that the solution I was hoping for won’t work. Both sides need to be ripped back.

Halfway done the right front section of my tank top. Hard to know yet whether it will fit. Modular patterns are annoying like that.

thank you @Crow

Finished object, turned out to fit pretty well

The pickups for the neckband and arms were critical. I would even say it looks like something bought, it doesn’t shout homemade. If that makes sense.

I wanted to make a chunky fall blanket. I just made a small pattern with cables and thought I shouldn’t do a blanket with cables because they eat yarn. Then I found a gorgeous chunky blanket pattern with cables. So… here we are :woman_facepalming:t2::woman_shrugging:t2::rofl:

I’m going to need many, many more skeins of yarn.
