In theory, yes.
In practice, not so much.
She’s an opportunist. If I leave the bed for more than two seconds, she is magnetically drawn to the pillows. I’m not a fan of pink eye, so I pretty much only have one house rule for the pets- no pillow time.

I didn’t know that you could get pinkeye from animals.

Unfortunately, I know from experience, yes.
And not even always from them directly- since they walk around barefoot, they drag a lot of other critter bacteria in on their feet. It’s usually not much of a problem at all, unless you rub your eyeball on it – which is why I have the pillow rule.
Editing because I don’t want to fear monger – it’s very rare. I’ve been working very directly hands-on with animals for 11 years? Maybe actually 12 or 13? And I have gotten pink eye exactly twice.
