Funnily, he came with the name! His former owner had his littermate as well which they named Richard Dean Anderson. I have a slight hunch they were fans.
He was also not the craftiest cat I’ve known, but he sure did have a way with the ladies.

I’m another person in the Bike Leans Against Entryway Wall camp.
We have these racks in our garage and I really like them. Plus I am not handy at all and they were really easy to install.
Thank y’all! You’ve given me some thoughts to mull over. My bike in my living room never bothered me until like suddenly this week. Figures.
We used the bike in the living room model at husband’s grad school apartment.
My bike is offsite right now, but it lived here, with just a bit more space between the sofa and baby bookshelf
During riding season my bike is in the main floor hallway and we just walk through the living room to get to the kitchen.
One day when we finally do the renovation we’ve been talking about for a decade we are taking down that wall and I’ll probably lean the bike against the stairs. I was going to say it is a pointless wall, but it is load bearing, so not completely pointless. Visible in the second photo is my wfh setup in the kitchen.
Thanks y’all!
I have a pull-down ladder in my hallway that goes up into the attic.
I have been thinking about connecting a hook to it and using it as kind of a lift to store the bike on the ceiling of the hallway-but I don’t know if that’s going to be too much of a pain since I take it down and ride it every day.
But it seems like the most sensible place to store it and I don’t go into the attic too often as I don’t have anything stored up there.
The weight of the bike might be too much for the spring on the pull-down. I’d try tying (or Bungee-ing) it in place for a test before I committed to it.
I have carrot tops. What do I do with carrot fronds? NB I don’t have salad stuff right now so they need to be in something else. I’m pondering maybe a mushroom and carrot frond soup for lunch???
I ate some yesterday on top of my red beans and rice, and it was good. If you have just a little.
Having an Apple ID issue and didn’t find anything in teh googles about it and wondering if anyone has seen it before…
So I got my new iphone and am setting it up. I enter my apple ID and put the phones next to each other to do all the transfer and all that. Then on the screen it says “Some purchases on this iphone are not able to be transferred unless you sign into the apple id for (email that is not mine or anyone I know)”
I clicked to skip that step and proceeded to check my credit card and have my dad check his (his card is the primary on our family sharing account) and nothing seems amiss. I signed into my apple ID on my mac and nothing is amiss there. I have 2 factor authentication on as well. I did get a notification maybe a week ago that someone in Nanjing was trying to sign into my account which I denied and then immediately changed my password. Is there anything else I should be doing? I’m concerned that someone has access to my account but from everything I can see nothing is amiss.
Was the phone refurbished?
Nope, brand new from apple
Squarespace, Wix, GoDaddy, others?
I need to move my dad’s friend off his current web hosting plan and onto something more affordable with easy to use templates that doesn’t look like crap that I hand coded in html 15 years ago.
What’s he doing with it? E-commerce, blog, or just needs a website for info? I use squarespace but for e-commerce I’m thinking about switching to Shopify. But I’ve been happy with squarespace for the templates, the ease of editing, and the price. Shopify just integrates into more things more easily, like social media and brick and mortar sales if that something he needs.
I use Wix for my business page and it’s great for a simple landing page especially for someone like me who is basically a stack of distracted rabbits in a trench coat trying to use the Internet. Meaning I’m bad at the internet.
Wix had nice clean modern templates, is affordable, and I think my website looks ok (those who have seen it feel free to interject if I am wrong).
We have recently acquired and eggplant…what’s your favorite food to cook with it?
My first thought is babaganoush but sadly I no longer eat garlic and I don’t think it would be the same.
Eggplant parm! …garlic issue may also apply.
