Has anyone purchased any of the Budget Bytes meal plans?
As far as digital downloads go, $12 seems a bit high for me, but it includes four weeks of planned dinners, shopping lists, and freezing guides. You’re obviously paying for time, but uh…been there, done that, I don’t mind paying someone else to do that admin work for me.
I’m not a computer security expert, but the articles I’ve read said that long wordy passwords are just as secure as random letters/numbers so I have a little bit of a formula and adapt based on the application and requirements. So for example, if you have a cat named “Shadow” I would have passwords like “Shadowlovesemails!” or “Shadowsmoneystash!” They are long and not easy to guess, but easy to remember. (Note, these are most definitely not my actual passwords and they don’t even follow this exact kind of phrasing but I use a similar thought process…please don’t try to hack my account )
BAHAHA I am a criminal mastermind and want all of Sunflower’s information!
Nah, you’re good. I do typically try to mix numbers and symbols into names and phrases, but more recently have been using the password generator that comes with KeePass for most things. The great thing about that is that I’m usually accessing accounts from my phone and just use the app to fill, the crappy thing is when I try to log in from my computer and have to type it out.
Surprisingly the other Elle who lives in Florida and is weathering covid in Ireland makes a shit ton of online purchases, real estate purchases and in person email receipt purchases while forgetting that I have the gmail account, she has Yahoo.
I used to get freaked out, now I just know she’s too dumb to remember her own email.
The email thing is annoying. I definitely get email for the wrong people sometimes. On the flip side, I was missing some email recently and found that they wrote / entered in my email incorrectly. I filled out a paper application for an airline credit card while on a flight. Even after they supposedly fixed it (I called), I never got the email confirmation that was promised. Someone else out there is/was getting my email for an airline rewards account (not that I plan to fly anytime soon). This bothers me because a lot of places allow you to reset a password by sending a link and confirming it by email. At least I know something is wrong and will wait to redeem my credit card airline miles until this is fixed.
Success!!! All I have to do is unplug the laptop from its nest of cables and walk it across the room - we seem to have just the one short phone cord. Which is all we need, so fine.
I’ve paid for a different meal plan that was similar to that even though I knew I wouldn’t use all the recipes because it was helpful to see how they had gone about it and worth it to me to pick that up.
I’d say that I like what I’ve tried for the most part! I’m sad to say that I don’t actually cook a large variety, and I’d like to, so maybe having a meal plan would make me branch out?
Do you eat a lot? Her idea of serving sizes are pretty comically small for us. So she makes any assumptions about having leftovers, it might not work for everyone. Certainly would not work for us.
As a note, I was doing this is voice to text. My husband heard me describing this, and he asked “budget bites?” lol.
I thought that I did before I lived alone, but I’ve been wasting a surprising amount of food because I just don’t eat it quickly enough (which is really disappointing).
I have two bedrooms, one of which is the dog room and bicycle room. So leaning against the wall in that room.
I also have bike hooks attached to the wall in my living room, because at one point there were four adults that all used bikes for primary transportation living here. My current tenant/housemate uses it (multiple bikes) and my bike is in the dog room.
I also have a bike rack that leans against the wall but two bikes can hang on it - this keeps the (muddy snowy salty) tires off the ground.
Most of the time if I’m riding to work daily and it’s just me in my house, I just keep it leaned up against the entry wall - I had actually taken down the bike hook racks and moved my painting back to that wall, and then my bike lived below it. It made me very happy when I’m sitting across the room in the sunshine. That was the original configuration.
Aww yay I had to go back a few years for that last photo so here’s a bonus pic from a whole series called Diary of a Dying Cat (his name was MacGyver and he lived about three years past when he was expected to die after having a number of strokes and kidney failure and blindness due to high blood pressure. He and kiddo were soulmates). Such a good kitty
Ceiling lifts–basically a two pulley system. I have it bolted into a board at the right width and then that bolted into two studs in the ceiling since I’ve got it running crosswise so it might not be best option if you don’t own, but generally (not actually my bike):
