I’d!say it was frost cracks because we had some real subzero weather this winter and I saw some neighborhood trees split like that.

I think you’ll need an arborist to tell you how to proceed, honestly.

Google says yes! Depending on how much home equity you have, there are two ways you can go about it.

Summary

Chapter 7 Bankruptcy

  • Equity Limits: Oregon law protects up to $40,000 in home equity for individual filers, and up to $50,000 for joint filers. If your home equity is below these amounts, your house is fully protected.
  • Mortgage Payments: You must be current on your mortgage and continue making your monthly payments.
  • If You Have Too Much Equity: If your equity exceeds the exemption amount, the bankruptcy trustee could sell the home, pay you your exempted portion, and use the rest to pay off creditors.

Chapter 13 Bankruptcy

  • Protecting Higher Equity: If your home equity exceeds Oregon’s Chapter 7 exemption limits, Chapter 13 is often a better option. It allows you to keep your house regardless of how much equity you have, provided you make a 3- to 5-year repayment plan.
  • Catching Up on Missed Payments: This chapter acts as a repayment plan to help you catch up on past-due mortgage bills and stop foreclosure.

Is there a moderate phase? Because I was peeling potatoes for fries and thinking how much it would suck doing it for teens

At one point, the Dr said to give him a bowl of Chapman’s vanilla ice cream every night, to get calories into him (Chapman’s being made from real cream still)

No.

But you can just not peel the potatoes. Chop only.

hopefully, the teens are able to help peel the potatoes? (Or as @Smacky said, skip peeling and just chop)

I was coming to ask the same thing. I remember being pre puberty ish age (11ish) and I’m pretty sure I could have eaten a whole pizza solo, especially at a party. That’s a dangerous age for underestimating hunger, lol.

There was so much pizza leftover from W’s party! The venue was too interesting for a lot of eating, I think.

Peeling potatoes was my childhood chore so I expect to give my kids that task one day (and corn shucking). Although I don’t make a lot of potato dishes that require peeling

If I am in a rush like today I hide that I am peeling (or grating) because I am stealing their job. So I am sure they’ll be capable teens but also maybe it would be my turn and I woukd be cooking like 10lb potatoes

Does anyone have good tips for grey icing?

Excited to find out if my pretty bowl is ovenproof! (Seemed like the laziest way to go seminsphere)

I have baked semicircular in a bowl! My cake was brain shaped. :crossed_fingers::crossed_fingers:for your bowl!

The bowl survived! Next goals are getting the cake to release from the bowl, and utilizing my minimal decorating skills. I bought premade black icing to dilute into some white.

The internet suggests that you might need to use several different food coloring colors to achieve grey, so I’m interested in your result!

Real talk. Is there an email service that is actually secure?

I have had gmail for a very long time, but I am thinking of divesting myself of Google as much as possible.

Recs welcome.

Ditto for VOIP service. I have a regular cell phone number but I also use a separate Google Voice number for certain things. What are some alternatives that are good (and safe)?

For email, Proton! I use Proton Mail and Proton Drive, and both are great.

I’m using Proton, but I haven’t finished the transition yet.

It depends how secure you want to be. If you pay with a credit card, then that information about you will be linked to the email addresses you have. There are options to send them cash if you want to be more anonymous.

For search, I’ve moved to DuckDuckGo. I haven’t found a good alternative to Maps though :frowning: it’s frustrating because some smaller stores don’t update their hours on their website, it’s just on Google Maps.
