Does anyone have experience with a whole house humidifier??

Our friends told us about theirs today and now I want one immediately. It seems like there is a decent amount of upkeep (like cleaning the filter monthly, replacing the media annually, and turning it off in the spring) but compared to maintaining 3 individual humidifiers probably the same or less.

I personally don’t have one, but a friend who also lives in a cold winter climate absolutely loves hers! And she is generally a person with very high standards, so that’s a solid endorsement to me

Our fancy friends who also live in the Denver area have one and really like it. I hate the room specific humidifiers (my wildest Colorado opinion?!) but I don’t notice it at their house.

Our house came with one but it is disconnected. We asked our home inspector if we should get it hooked back up and he was like absolutely no - they just pipe water through your ducts and it can condense in them and get moldy and mildewy and then you are just blowing mold air through your house.

BUT this is in MN where we end up running a dehumidifier a lot of the time. I feel like if we were back in UT we would have hooked it up without a second thought since it is so dry there’s so no way you could end up with moldy puddles in the ducts. Also there are probably different kinds - ours is just like a water pump and some tubes that attach to the ductwork, so I’m unsure if our home inspector’s thoughts were about all whole home humidifiers or just the kind we have.

A friend of mine has one, and if/when I have to replace the heater I’m very much hoping there’ll be an option that works. I’m in Colorado and have to run an in-room one through the winter to keep from waking up with bloody noses, though.

We have one. It’s great! We do disconnect it in the spring. The static electricity is greatly reduced, as well as my exema and dry winter skin!

I started using the app “Storage Box Organizer” when we were moving to keep track of what got packed where (At least in the beginning - towards the end, it was juts throw shit in boxes)

I like it as an inventory tool, I can print a QR code for boxes that will show me what is in each one, and I can print off an inventory. This is handy for Christmas Boxes, out of season clothes, etc.

But it does not have a web interface option - only the app on phone / tablet - and I like to look at a big screen / type on a real keyboard!

Does anyone know of a similar app that can be used from either a phone or a desktop?

No worries!!

Does anyone have suggestions for a nature documentary or series, in the vibe of planet Earth, but less intense and with minimal or no mention of climate change that I can show to an extremely sensitive small child? So, think predation drama being played up would result in a massive, sobbing meltdown and multiple days of perseveration. But I also don’t want something super juvenile and kid coded. Ideally I’m looking for something That’s like an adult nature documentary, but just less intense overall.
