Various containers throughout the year but a few years ago I got some Soupercubes which are silicone molds in 1 cup portions and I freeze it that way now and it’s kind of amazing. 4 1 cup servings fit in a gallon ziplock and I no longer waste broth constantly from defrosting more than I need for a recipe

Condense the heck out of it and then freeze it in ice cube trays. Generally when I thaw I fill a one cup measure with one cube and then water to the brim, and it seems to hold flavor pretty well.

ETA–this might technically be stock vs broth, not sure if that makes a difference usage-wise.

Yep then freeze! Leave a little room at the top. Bonus–you can sharpie right on the lids and scrub the sharpie off with regular ol dish soap when you’re done & reuse

Reporting back on this: I was just talking to the head of HR, and she mentioned that our chief finance officer also texted her the same question, lol. It just seems too good to be true!

My company hires a lot of 20-25 year olds for not wildly above minimum wage work, and my goal for next year is making sure that everyone who is eligible at least thinks really hard about this plan. Talked about it in my work review so it’s happening

Love everything about this! Love when HR/admin folks use their bureaucratic skills and knowledge to empower others.

At my last job I made sure that all of the underpaid frontline staff knew that they should spend down all of their FSA before quitting since you have access to the full year of funds upfront. One person actually put off quitting until the second week of January so she could spend another year’s worth of funds. The nonprofit version of quitting right after you get your bonus.

I want to make a Google calendar that includes events from 3 other google calendars. Is there a free, automated way to do this that doesn’t require manual copying over events in perpetuity? Importing the individual calendars to a new calendar does not copy over newly created events.

My best idea right now is to create an email account that is shared on all 3 calendars. Or maybe talk 3 different organizations into stopping use of their separate calendars and using one individual calendar. Any other options out there?

I think the best way is to be in Google Chrome on a PC. You can share your calendar with others.

And subscribe to calendars that others have shared with you:

This is how we do it. We have a family calendar shared with both spouse’s email accounts. Then I shared it with my work account so when I open my work gmail calendar I can see the family calendar too, at the same time. They are just different colors. However, work security stuff prevents me from sharing the work one with others, so it doesn’t work the other direction.

Does anyone know what this is? It is branded swag from a United Airlines table at a career fair.

Huh. That seems a little intense. But thanks!

It is a trendy thing, especially for Stanley cups.

I really like the Freelabel crossover style bra, which is called the Dani I think, because it had a very wide band, no wires and you could tuck the cross over part in such a way that there was absolutely no skin on skin contact. It is not cheap though, and they do small runs so you have to wait sometimes to order, so I only have one.

Anyone know of an easy calculator to help someone make school/career choices?

I’m thinking about something that puts in the cost of schooling, living costs, average loan rates but also earning potential in early years and later years.

Someone I know is thinking about going back to school and is trying to decide between a 1-2 year associates program that’s more like a trade school, and a career that would require a bachelor’s and master’s.
