MFA is great, Ina Gartner museum is pretty cool too, with the bonus of a special on Netflix about the big unsolved art heist that happened there. If there’s any baseball interest there is a Fenway park tour that is about an hour and really good, don’t go to the cheers bar, eat in Faneuil Hall instead, or the North End (Italian). Follow the Freedom Trail if you’re interested in history, or if you have kids with you the Museum of Science is good. Definitely skip the aquarium.

The aquarium is my favorite but on weekends it’s packed

While I love the idea of an Ina Garten museum, you’re thinking of the Isabella Gardner museum. In case anyone wants to look up the heist.

Not sure how far you’re willing to drive, but Luray Caverns is about 1.5 hours away and is pretty cool. I see that there are a couple other caverns nearby, some a little closer o Charlottesville. Old Rag is a strenuous hike about an hour away. Skyline Drive is a nice drive along the spine of the Blue Ridge Mountains, which is kind of unusual since usually people don’t build the road on the top of the mountains. Chaps makes good ice cream!

I wondered about that :face_with_monocle::face_with_monocle:

Will you have the kid with you? There are some really cool parks and walking around areas that are fun for kids.

What do y’all like to do? There’s lots of canoeing and river rafting nearby, from super chill floats to more adventurous. Stanton is a little town about 20-30 mins away that closes its 3-4 blocks of downtown to cars on weekends, lots of really good food. Hikes galore. A few scenic railways.

Well I’m not gonna lie we are not a family of hikers lol. I think the 90 minute tour at Monticello is the most Mom wants to do at one time since her back likes to act up. We enjoy more sedentary forms of entertainment. Basketball games, movies, etc

We got a new (free!!!) mattress and obviously I’m thrilled bc our old one was…maybe 15 years old! But our headboard used to be 3 slats and now it is 2. I feel like I’m on top of a bunk bed. Are all new mattresses this thick? How do I find a new bed frame that will make this feel like a normal bed again? Do I need to look for anything specific? I tend to buy things gently used off of Facebook marketplace so any questions I need to ask people to make sure it’ll be compatible? I’m preemptively annoyed

Kiddo accidentally spilled chocolate protein shake on his taekwondo pants which are white with a dark blue stripe on the side. I’ve gotten the stain faded using an enzyme detergent but it’s not all the way gone so I think I’m going to have spot treat with bleach, but I’m nervous I’m going to ruin the stripe on the side (it’s near the stain but is not itself stained). I’ve also done all purpose stain remover spray and oxi. These pants have been washed so many times, lol.

I’m thinking put bleach on with a toothbrush but I should dilute the bleach right? By how much?
