In the (mid? to south) United States and other warm places, are things like drive in movies open year round? Amusement parks?

In the mid to southern part of Arizona (desert) things are more apt to be open in the winter because it is just too hot in the summer. Think 120*F highs in the day not being unusual.

Our ymca pool is open year round. Mr. Meer kvetches daily now about how hot the water is for swimming right now (he would fit in well in Canada temps, I think the water is great).

IME Floridians aren’t going to the beach in December because it’s Too Cold.
The New Port Richey city pool is certainly open in the summer and that’s the only time we ever went swimming.

Yes. Our water parks and outdoor pools will close, and beaches will not have life guards but you can still go. Everything else runs pretty year round.

How much nicer is the hotel upgrade?
With hotels and airplane seats I have a hard time quantifying the value of upgrades. It’s bigger, but will I care? Maybe! Depends!
