Apple juice and pomegranate vodka, over ice. Add soda if wanted.

I’m a vodka soda girl… can add a lemon or lime but after 2 don’t notice the extra flavour. Ironically, I don’t drink at home since SO doesn’t drink ( never has). That’s probably why I have such a large stockpile.

Anyone know what this is? Some kind of Oxo kitchen thing.

Can you show other angles? Two thoughts:
looks like some of the filter holders for fridge water I’ve seen, or, maybe the holder for hand mixer attachments.

Sounds like you have the supplies to rival my mom for quarantinis. (She’s been putting whatever she feels like drinking in a martini glass–like, once it was elderflower lemonade–and posting a picture to Facebook as her quarantini of the day.)

If by simples you mean simple syrup, I sure can. :+1: Right now my herbs are pretty small, but growing…

:joy: I love it. It occurs to me that I can make lemonade as well, as I bought a large bottle of lemon juice about a month ago (and I have almost 10 lbs of sugar from the last stock up).

There’s a grippy black curve on the other side.

Something goes into those grooves. Maybe it is a peeler of some sort?

Yeah, he thought it might be some kind of peeler, but he doesn’t have the parts to make it peel. Probably will throw this in the random bits donate pile.

WHY must I always boil over the water when I make pasta?

You don’t, actually

So, I have to turn the heat down once I’ve gotten the water back to boiling. If I drop it to medium high from high, I usually can get away with it. You can also try adding a surfactant to the water, like a few drops of olive oil if your pasta pot doesn’t have much space. The added protein and starch from the water really increases the surface tension and lets all those crazy bubbles happen. Take away that, and they fall back into line.

I wouldn’t suggest it for pasta, but I use 5 star kettle defoamer when I’m brewing. It’s the same stuff that’s in gas-x, works great for knocking down boilovers.

Yeah… like, I know this, I just don’t do it. Lol. No teaching this old dog new tricks I guess.

Ha, I totally understand. I cut onions all wrong, but can’t talk myself into doing it right.

I suppose it’s worth the clean up for ooey gooey homemade mac and cheese

Setting a wooden spoon over a pot will help avoid the “starch” boil over (don’t do this on gas or there’s fire risk though)

As someone who made homemade mac and cheese yesterday - and definitely boiled over the pasta - WORTH IT! :cheese:

Can someone help me with basic math? I’m on meds and I’m confused and my husband is on a work call. I am ordering contacts.

  • I wear two contacts per day and want to order a year supply. They are dailies so only last one day.

  • I also wear glasses about twice a week, and on those days I don’t wear contacts.

  • Boxes of contacts come in 90 packs.

  • How many boxes do I need?

(This will be on the SATs.)

How long do you want the contacts to last before you need to order again?

I want to be good for about a year. Rounding up rather than down if you need to round. <- That was confusing, I mean I’d rather have too many than not enough.
