I’d bake as is and report back for science!

My cornbread is half wheat flour if I use the easy recipe for the microwave, and it rises fine. But it’s a quick bread, not yeast, so do please report back. I have more corn than flour and apparently all the flour in the state is in someone’s garage.

I used maseca one time instead of flour when making bread (“why does this dough feel so weird?”) but since it was 100% I ended up making tortillas out of it. A crap ton of tortillas. :upside_down_face:

That is the correct number of tortillas.

It just… took a really long time to cook them all. :joy:

Think of how much character you have now!

This is how I feel every time I make gyoza. It doesn’t look like that much… but then an hour in and the pile of gyoza reaches the ceiling and the bowl of filling doesn’t look any emptier. But then I have gyoza.

Wanted: cocktail recipes (or whatever) that primarily use FLAVORED VODKA.

I have FIVE bottles (not all are full) of flavored vodka that I got from a friend, who was moving, a few years ago:

  • strawberry
  • pomegranate
  • fruit loops (Loopy)
  • root beer
  • cucumber watermelon (this one is my favorite)

And some other stuff (spiced rum, triple sec, kahlua, chartreuse, rye, gin, brandy (which I will probably never use, lol), and tequila, but god damn do I have a lot of vodka. I also have 3 (!!!) partially used bottles of plain vodka of different brands (Hangar 1, Grey Goose, and Tito’s). Why do I have so much vodka?!?

Do you like tasting alcohol? Cuz I would just get plain sparkling mineral water and mix, maybe try adding some bitters or a splash of a strong juice like 100% Pom or cranberry or blueberry.

It like it ok but I really prefer it to be a little more sweet. Like, I will even add simple syrup to some hard ciders (heathen, I know).

I do have bitter too, I forgot!

:+1:

Oh lord. I can’t help you then :joy: I can’t stand sweet drinks.

I could literally just add simple syrup to anything. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I wish I had added Coke to my grocery order, because then I could be drinking rye & Coke, which I like very much, but I didn’t. :sob:

What mixers do you have in the house?

Useless knowledge for your question - Captain Morgan’s Key Lime Rum with cranberry juice tastes like fruit punch. Not boozy fruit punch, just regular. Had some great nights with that, but let’s not talk about the mornings.

Can you make herbal simples? Like, a basil simple + strawberry vodka + sparkling water…

I ended up going with the suggestion from @diapasoun since it had almost no rise and it was starting to get late, and the flatbreads turned out okay. Not quite what I was going for originally , but still good with chili and soup so I’m calling it a win (although probably not one I’ll intentionally repeat )

Thanks to everyone for the suggestions

If I lived close I would take them all off your hands. I may have 5 large bottles in my house currently because every time I go through a duty free flight I grab something.

Put the brandy in hot chocolate. You won’t be sorry.
I’d use the fruit flavored vodkas in Cosmopolitans.

Uh… mixers? Another thing I neglected to think about.

Right now I only have orange juice, apple juice, tonic water, and club soda. And coffee (that I could put kahlua in (but not vodka).

I guess I am going to have to think about that in 2 weeks.

Ooooooh, roger!

:+1:

I’m gonna have to get some juice concentrate next grocery order.

It just occurred to me that I think I can make Moscow mules, if I get off my butt and make some more homemade soda.
