I used to put a tiny bit of toothpaste on pimples overnight to help them dry out. And +1 for making sure the glasses are clean! Also worth checking if they still fit correctly - you can get the optometrist to adjust the fit a little if they’re pinching too much.

We have an Abode system and Arlo cameras, and have been really happy with them! I had wanted to avoid Ring because of their history of sharing video footage with police, and I’d wanted to find a system that was highly rated for its data security practices (not saying these should be anyone else’s priorities, just sharing mine). The set-up of the system was super straightforward; the only things that were hard were about adapting things to my weird house.
We have cameras and door/window motion sensors. I didn’t want to get a battery-powered smart lock because historically my household is not great about tech-y home maintenance, but it was an option.
They tend to have deals around the holidays, so I’d expect to see sales around Memorial Day.

How do I get hairball residue off the couch cushion? It’s a coarse weave cloth couch, probably liberally treated with Scotchguard back when it belonged to my parents, but not in the last decade or so it’s lived with me.
Your budget bytes suggestion was good, even though we didn’t end up eating that meal we had chipotle chicken and rice from the website, and added guac.

Thank you for the recommendation! I hadn’t heard of Abode, so I’ll look into that. I didn’t know that about Ring, so I’ll be scratching that off the list. I’m glad to hear the Abode was simple to set up, that is honestly the part I am most anxious about because I am zero percent tech-y haha

An enzymatic cleaner for pet excretions. I think there’s several different brands.
I can try and find the one I have somewhere, I got it at the grocery store.
