Ug this is the worst! One time we were undercharged and tried to pay at the register and owner told us the waitress would pay for “her mistake”. I refused to leave until we were charged appropriately and told them it’s disgusting to think it was okay charge the person making $2 / hr for an error and we’d never be back. As business owner THEY assume the risk. WTF.

I didn’t know because I don’t have Netflix. Can we still be friends?

Guyz, how do apartment people clean out their cat box? Please do not tell me it is my precious bathtub…

I meannnnn first question is, how have you been doing it for the last seven months.

Second yes and no. You can do full bathtub and then scrub. I used to scrape it into the garbage, then spray and wipe with paper towel. Then rinse with water and dump into the toilet repeatedly. Then spray and wipe with paper towels, final rinse and pat dry. There would have been less steps if I did it like weekly or something.

My litter box is currently shiny and clean but you just reminded me to fill it (he’s on a refilled disposable box in jail). And bleach his big food and water dispensers. Because tomorrow is cone freedom day! And no more litter in my bathroom day!!!

Also pro tip to everyone- when we went on vacation I bought the disposable $3 tray so he had two for that week and it handled some refills when we came home. It has been great! So wasteful and so compact! I will repeat this when I get close to delivery or sick or anything! And for future vacations.

Why did I not think of the toilet…

and ofc I have not been maintaining it at all besides lazy scoops, I am a monster

Aside from scooping twice a day we empty the entire thing into a garbage bag like once every week or two and then spray it down and wipe it clean, then let it air out until dry (since it has a lid) and refill with litter.

Litter quality can make a huge difference. I know not everyone likes clay/clumping but I switched to Arm and Hammer 100% dust free clump & seal a couple years ago and it was a game changer. It clumps so well that I only need to throw out residual litter maybe 1x per month and it barely leaves anything behind.

2 cats/3 boxes. I toss the residual litter in a heavy duty trash back and clean the boxes with Myers + cloths or paper towels. But it’s very low maintenance at that point.

Edit: Oh and I use a litter genie for day to day scooping. Clumping litter isn’t great for the toilet.

I moved a month? Before you and I think this was my first full scrub since moving. I am a bad troll. I have been doing the monthly dump and refill. But now it is like clean clean. Now I bleach the food and water

Does anyone know if it’s possible to find out what a person gets as a jail sentence? Of course I am curious about the case I was just on but actual sentencing happens later. The judge was not sure if there was a way for us to see that information when we asked him.

I would think that is public record. Maybe the prosecutor’s office can tell you? I imagine it is available online, but maybe not through a free (or easy to navigate) site. Otherwise the courthouse for the respective jurisdiction (county vs. state vs. fed)

On USA tv shows i often see kids call their parents Sir or Ma’am, as well as their friends parents who they have known for a long time, is this actually common?

I feel like in Australia its usually mum/dad and then just friends parents first names. Might be Mr/Mrs if its the first time you meet them.

In Canada it’s mr/mrs last name normally or just the first name of the parents suggest it.

I know one family that does Ms first name which is super sweet and polite.

Obviously we call our parents things like Mum and Dad and ugh fine

Depends on where you are in the US but in casual California we almost always use first names.

This is less common than it used to be, but still a thing in the American South.

We often add aunt or uncle to close friends as a form of love and respect. White friends often get first names because they might think it’s weird.

Non close adults get miss first name.

Pretty sure I’ve heard people call friendly adults sir and ma’am, but never their own parents.
