I would say 20 minutes. Maybe 30 if there is a line.
I agree, every “full service” kind of place I have gone has usually been 15-20 unless there is a long line at the pay gate. (And by full service I mean they wipe down the interior and vacuum but not a detail job.) I used to go once a month in winter to tackle undercarriage and road salt, and I think it is absolutely worth it if you live where road salt is a big deal. (I probably should resume doing this, though I drive a lot less in increment weather now, so .)
Also, I would always make my decision as I was driving by for some other reason, and base it 100% on the line. Near lunchtime always was much busier, and after work. First thing in the morning, or around 10 often was quiet. In my experience in my locale.
I think received just means they got it, not that it was necessarily processed yet?
On the other hand, I got my state refund already, and I was never informed of its status other than received. And I swear in the past I’ve gotten more than one notifications before being issued the refund. Also, they sent me a physical check despite the fact that I selected direct deposit and used the same account (which is in good standing) that I did with them last year.
There was a graph that said where it was in the process before, it’s just this now. Eh, I’m sure things are nuts at the IRS and it will appear eventually. I don’t need the money, but I want it.
Ohhhh… I guess that means I shouldn’t hold my breath for mine?
(You are probably right about it being crazy.)
I think I read that they are still working on returns from last year…
There are definitely some weird things going on from the IRS. I submitted my taxes through H&R block and I got a notice that they had received/accepted it, and then a notice that it was being processed, and then I got the actual return in my bank account. A week later I got a notice that said since I was claiming a child tax credit my return would be delayed because the IRS was waiting to review any returns that included that credit…but the money was already in my account? It was all very strange.
Wot that’s nuts
I also got things in a strange order. First I got my return then I got several different snail mail things about the amount of covid money I got…and how it wasn’t necessary for taxes. Like, thanks I guess?
The COVID notifications were information you might have needed to claim a COVID tax credit if you did not receive all of the COVID relief money. If you did receive the max COVID relief, you didn’t need the mailings. It did remind me to check / confirm we had gotten the max.
Oh I know, it was just funny because:
- I had already filed ages ago.
- Within the letter it literally said the equivalent to, “here’s this info, you don’t need to do anything about any of this.”
Just struck me as silly
Non-IRS government silliness to me was:
- Hey, here’s a website where you can request 4 COVID test kits to be mailed to you; and,
- hey, the government is sending N95 masks to some of your local pharmacies so you can go pick them up.
Hmm - mail both, send both for pickup?
probably the purview of different committees
That’s what I was thinking. Of course, they wouldn’t talk to each other.
Versus it being an experiment to get distribution data…
How do we add those tags to journal titles?
When you make a new one or edit an old one, there’s a little box that says “optional tags” you click and fill in.
Anyone have a site they like that sells fun graphic tank tops and not just tees? Needs to carry at least up to size 3X “womens” or 2XL “mens/unisex”
I like threadless.com. They don’t have a ton of tanks but there are some mixed in and I think the graphics are funny.
Edited to add: looks like things have changed over there and almost any shirt design can be a tank! Though only some go up to the size range you’re looking for.
