Thanks! I also asked on my FB and I think TeePublic will work, just have to double check against their size chart, but I’ll also look there

I really love Unicorn Empire, although they are a very specific fandom-y niche. I have a few of their tanks and love them. They have 3X sizing for tank tops and tell you how wide/long that means.

Cool, will also check them out  TeePublic was having a temporary sale so I ended up ordering a couple to try and hopefully sizing is okay from their size chart. The style of tank I really like is maybe gonna be too small in the largest size but they do free exchanges on sizing (pretty awesome for custom shirts) because my less favorite style should come big enough.

How do you get rid of old music cds? Mine have literally been in a closet for years so they should probably go.I do have a friend who occasionally has yard sales, but do people even buy cds any more?

Do you have a community radio station or does your library have a Friends of the Library group. Either of those might have fundraisers where they could sell them. Having experience with both of those kinds of groups, yes people do buy cds but it is very specific type of people who might not go to random yard sales. Those folks (who are probably eBay sellers) will buy huge lots of cds without particular regard for what the cds are.

Was it you who’s not on Buy Nothing? People have been offering their entire CD collections and others have taken them. I was just thinking today that I will probably never listen to Celine Dion and Mariah Carey again :joy:

We do have a Friends of the library group! I will donate there!

If there is a Buy Nothing here, I am not on it.

Can you only switch Dental insurance plans (within the same company, just a different plan) when it’s in the insurance-switching season?

That’s how it is for me.

I am looking for creative house sale ideas. My parents manage a rental home (long-term rental, single family house). Three years ago tenant had breast cancer, lost some income, and just started paying a little less than full rent. My parents, being not assholes and not super dependent on the income, let it slide. She’s now in remission, but her husband lost his job at the beginning of the pandemic and they have been paying zero rent. Between pandemic eviction protection and also just not wanting to screw people over, they’ve also held off. They’re now about $25,000 behind in rent.

How do we disentangle from this?

Does anyone know of creative ideas that would be both ethical and effective? Maybe there are public or nonprofit programs to help? We would love find a solution that doesn’t involve eviction. Maybe even a way to sell it to them below market rate if they can get a mortgage? I’ve heard of seller financed purchases but don’t trust them to actually make payments. I’m also worried that after a certain length of time they’ll have squatters rights that lock us into few and narrow paths.

Tenant is really nice, husband is an asshole. For what that’s worth.

What state the house is in is going to make a big difference here. I know my aunt’s tenant here had some sort of nonprofit help with paying rent and stuff. If the house is in Florida, I can get that info for you.

The house is in good condition, thankfully. It is not in Florida, but if it’s not too much trouble I would love to know what types of programs your aunt has used to try to search for something similar. (The tenants don’t qualify for Section 8.)

I had some terrible tenants that I wanted gone. I paid them to leave. It was a totally different situation but sometimes you just do whatever it takes.

Was this where we talked about houseplants, easy to keep alive/care for? Or how to care for them? @mountainmustache29 asked? Anyway, I bought a plant at a nursery and they emailed me these, so I thought I’d share.

I can not figure out a toy I got in a kinder egg. Any ideas? The middle sections of the two plastic figurines are a kind of tacky almost silicone material and can stick together. But what are you supposed to do with these? Why are they tied together? Why do the pictures show them swinging around a door handle? WHAT IS THIS?

Looks like if you wet them they’ll stick to walls and doors, so you can pretend they’re doing rescue missions? Like swing and climb the two halves up? (Looks like a superhero who can split in half to do amazing things)

That sounded like a good possibility, but I tried on several different surfaces and couldn’t get them to stick to anything. (Except the silicone part of the other one)

Ok, so looking at the pictures more I’m pretty sure you’re supposed to stick both of them to a door, then pry one off and see it swing, hanging down from the other one. I’m going to re-wet these and try some more surfaces.

Failure. They will not stick
