did you hang vertically, hang fully supported, or hang on the horizontal? I’m wondering if you could block it out to the 17" if you soaked it for a half hour, then rolled in a towel and stretched it to the size you wanted, then dried it fully supported or so the hanging let the weight of the fabric pull out the width (supporting the arms so they don’t stretch out too much).
I hung it on a rack, over several rungs, so somewhat vertically. Hmmmm, I guess stretching it out is a possibility. I’ll take my listings down and try it out!
Was gonna suggest this. I’ve had luck getting shrunken items back by soaking them in conditioner and then stretching/blocking them out.
I took to opportunity to wash some other woolens since I had to use wool wash anyway. So far I’ve stretched it out in the tub and it looks like it might work!
Unfortunately no luck on the dress! I realized it’s also because the dress is a light color and accents all my curves in the wrong way. My other dress (same brand) also does this (though not quite as much) but the dark colors are more forgiving! It was worth a try though!
This is a parenting question but… Does anyone know of a thing to keep the heat vent covers from being pulled.out of the floor? I know some people duct tape them in place…
I’ve seen people screw them down through the sides. Otherwise, using cardboard so they sit super snug in the vent hole helps.
We used painter’s tape so we could remove it later, but the child was not very invested in getting the vents out. Might not work for a kid who is really motivated.
Aren’t you planning on replacing the main floor? Screw them down.
The biggest problem is the one in his bedroom. Stay tuned to find out if the plastic likes us drilling screw holes!
Or glue.
Attempted journaling, in my own way. Just writing down mood and thoughts, and if I exercisedin the very pretty diary my cousin got me for Christmas.
This way when I can finally see a psychologist I have a bit of something to go off.
Anyone have any luck with Britbox? I’m thinking I need some warm cozy English murder mysteries.
Very disappointed that “warm hug” is not a category on Netflix
My mum got it for Christmas and is enjoying it!
I got my mother Acorn TV for Christmas (which is also British shows). TBD if she is liking it. She likes that stuff though, especially “cozy mysteries” and “crime dramas”.
I like it - but Love British murder mysteries! It also has QI and some other game show / quiz show type shows with comedians.
Has anyone researched and formed opinions on this company?
As an aside, I asked about ridwell a while back and didn’t hear much. Found a super interesting article about what’s going down with it in Portland.
@nickybecky1 and @anomalily might be the only people who also find this interesting, lol.
I’m so into this. I was a 3rd reader on a thesis all about the mafia that is Portland trash hauling. It’s truly bananas
This makes me want to get ridwell now, lol. I was luke warm before.
