GAH. A couple weeks ago I started seeing even more milk supply drops. I met with an LC who recommended more frequent milk removals (which involves pumping since Spore is sleeping 6-7 hours on good nights), taking 1.5x my usual dose of Liquid Gold supplement, and adding moringa.
This worked really well and got us back to about 60-70% breastfeeding which I would be happy with as a status quo. But I’ve been having clogged ducts. Last night was right side, fixed by preferential nursing on the right. Tonight it’s L side, of course, and it’s so painful that it woke me up. Pumping and a warm compress helped a bit but yielded very little volume (like 50mLs), and I’ve got throbbing pain again, enough that I can’t fall asleep. This sucks and I want to scream. It feels like I’m tweaking one thing just to have another one fall apart.

More pumping with superpump (Baby Buddha instead of Elvie) helped. Although it left me a bit bruised. Oof. Thanks for letting me scream into the void here.

Yikes! Clogs are the worst.
I know a lot of people who swear by sunflower lecithin. I got some sunflower butter and have some on toast every morning since getting mastitis and haven’t had any other clogs.

Oh yeah, if you have a vibrator or electric toothbrush you can use that to massage the clog while pumping. It definitely feels tender after but I was able to get them out pretty fast with that method.

After megapump and breastfeeding the next day, clog is all gone. Phew. Thanks lil babe, you did me a solid.

In the worst part of stabby pain, before I got the Baby Buddha working, I came this close to asking spouse to, uh, help out. Not sure our relationship would have ever recovered.
LC thinks it may have been caused by a 7-hr stretch of no milk removal 2 days prior, when Spore slept much longer than usual. And then his overnight cluster feeding the day before may have been caused by the clog restricting milk volume. I’ve heard sunflower lecithin mentioned a few times and will remember it if clogs become a regular issue. And the vibrator idea is genius.

This was probably rhetorical but- for me, at least a year. 
Feb 13 and 14 last year were my miserable “baby has dropped weight, LC appointment lasts 2 hours and she won’t eat, everyone is crying, referral to specialist doc is started, ped appointment scheduled for the next day, mom goes dairy free, on and on” nightmare. I’m still scarred from all that, and I still worry about her weight even though her percentile now has been stable for months.
Ughhhhh.

How is it possible that my boobs are teeny tiny now but yet a little droopy? And they definitely point a little out toward the sides?
Asking mostly for curiosity - I don’t really care.

If you’re anything like me and the majority of my been-pregnant friends you’ll need a lot more than chocolate 
…re boobs I once had a friend describe my newly deflated post breastfeeding stage breasts as “golf balls in baby socks swinging around” and by golly that was the absolute best description ever
